Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is continuing to grow across the world. Though often thought of as a mostly public health issue, AMR is also a major agricultural and environmental problem. As such, many researchers refer to it as the preeminent One Health issue.

Analgesia nociception index as a tool to predict hypotension after spinal anaesthesia for elective caesarean section.

Arterial hypotension is the main disadvantage of spinal anaesthesia (SA) for caesarean delivery with deleterious effects on maternal-foetal outcomes. Recently, a non-invasive device 'analgesia nociception index' (ANI) has been developed to evaluate the parasympathetic component of the nervous autonomous system. The aim of this study was to evaluate the ability of ANI to predict the risk of hypotension after SA for elective caesarean section.

[Thrombo-haemorrhagic disease-related hypoprothrombinemia-lupus anticoagulant syndrome revealing a light chains multiple myeloma].

Thrombosis and hemorrhage are two opposing manifestations of multiple myeloma. These hemostatic disorders are present in less than 12% of patients at diagnosis and involve various pathophysiological mechanisms. We report the case of a 39-year-old patient with multiple myeloma revealed by the association of a hemorrhagic syndrome and deep vein thrombosis related to a hypoprothrombinemia-anticoagulant lupus syndrome.

[A rare infectious etiology of COPD exacerbation].

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common respiratory disorder. Its exacerbation is infectious in more than half of the cases: with viral priority, while parasitic causes remain exceptional. In this work, we report a case of a COPD exacerbation caused by a visceral leishmaniasis (VL) complicated by a macrophage activation syndrome in an adult living in a Moroccan non-endemic region for this of leismaniasis form.

[Acquired amegacaryocytic thrombocytopenic purpura hiding acute myeloid leukemia].

Acquired amegakaryocytic thrombocytopenic purpura is a very rare condition characterized by severe thrombocytopenia linked to the reduction or disappearance of megakaryocytes in the bone marrow. It may be primary idiopathic or secondary to many pathological conditions including hematologic disorders. We report the case of a 24-year-old patient admitted for haemorrhagic syndrome caused by immunological thrombocytopenic purpura.

[Cutaneous leishmaniasis in the military hospital Moulay Ismaïl of Meknes (Morocco): about 49 cases diagnosed between 2005 and 2011].

An increase in the number of cases of cutaneous leishmaniasis has been observed, in recent years, in Morocco. We tried, through a series of 49 cases collected from the dermatology department at the military hospital Moulay Ismail of Meknes, to clarify the epidemiological, clinical and evolutionary aspects of the reported cases. We recorded for each patient: age, sex, geographic origin and the period before consultation.
