Background: The SARS-CoV-2 virus's frequent mutations have made disease control with vaccines and antiviral drugs difficult; as a result, there is a need for more effective coronavirus drugs. Therefore, detecting the expression of various diagnostic biomarkers, including ncRNA in SARS-CoV2, implies new therapeutic strategies for the disease.
Aim: Our study aimed to measure NEAT-1, miR-374b-5p, and IL6 in the serum of COVID-19 patients, demonstrating the correlation between target genes to explore the possible relationship between them.
Background: The maternal mortality rate in Libya surpasses the regional average and is primarily due to sepsis, hemorrhages, hypertension, and other factors, highlighting gaps in maternal knowledge and access to quality care. This study aimed to assess the awareness of obstetric danger signs and associated factors among pregnant women attending the outpatient clinic of Tobruk Medical Center, Libya.
Methods: An institution-based cross-sectional study was conducted from August to October 2023, involving 301 pregnant women visiting the outpatient clinic.
Infection by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has a high incidence of spread. On January 30, 2020, the World Health Organization proclaimed a public health emergency of worldwide concern. More than 6.

Several studies demonstrated the role of lncRNAs and miRNAs in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia; the aim was to detect the expression profiles of serum LncRNA ANRIL, miR-186, miR-181a, and MTMR-3 in patients with preeclampsia. The study included 160 subjects divided into 80 subjects considered as a control group, 80 patients with preeclampsia.

Methods: The study population was community pharmacy staff (N = 21,346) in Greater London. A survey tool was divided into six sections: Use of the internet; Use of social media; Use of mobile health applications (MHAs); Perception of and practical use of digital health tools; Scenario-based questions and demographics.
Background: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the gastrointestinal tract. We aimed to investigate, for the first time, the expression profile of serum level of LncRNA THRIL and MiR-125b in IBD patients and their relations with patient's clinical and biochemical investigations.
Methods: Our study included 210 subjects divided into 70 healthy subjects considered as control group (male and female), 70 patients with ulcerative colitis (UC), and 70 patients with Crohn's disease (CD).
Purpose: Several minimally invasive procedures were used to treat displaced intra-articular calcaneal fractures (DIACFs). No agreement among different authors about either the ideal fixation method or which technique is minimally invasive. The aim of this study was to compare functional and radiographic outcomes of two minimally invasive techniques in treatment of Sanders type II and III DIACFs by using K-wires or cannulated screws without bone grafts.

The present research investigated the expression profiles of serum TUG1, LINC00657, miR-9, and miR-106a in diabetic patients with and without stroke.

Furthermore, the evaluation of noncoding RNAs has emerged as a novel detector of breast cancer patients. We aimed to genotype the HOXA transcript at the distal tip (HOTTIP) rs1859168 and assess its relationship with the levels of the serum HOTTIP and its target miR-615-3p in patients with breast cancer (BC).

Circulating lncRNAs could serve as diagnostic non-invasive biomarkers for SLE. We hypothesised that serum FAS-AS1 and PVT1 are new biomarkers for SLE that relate to clinical features and laboratory markers.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are key regulators of different actions, which contribute to the development of many autoimmune diseases. To gain a further understanding, we estimated the relative expression of lncRNAs Metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT1) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein L (hnRNPL) immune-regulatory lncRNA (THRIL) in pediatric ITP.

Objective: We aimed to weigh the effect of rs7158663 on MEG3 serum level and breast cancer susceptibility.
Methods: We genotyped rs7158663 G > A and measured serum MEG3 in 150 breast cancer, 95 fibroadenoma , and 154 controls by the TaqMan method.

Introduction: The outcomes of total hip arthroplasty (THA) for the treatment of posttraumatic arthritis after acetabular fractures were inferior to those after primary non-traumatic THA.
Methods: This study was performed in academic level I trauma center. From January 2011 to December 2014, a consecutive series of 21 patients (9 females), with average age of 56.
Introduction: Surgical treatment of acetabular fractures in elderly people is challenging. The main aim of this study is to evaluate retrospectively the indications, results and the complications of simultaneous open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) and acute total hip replacement (THR) in the management of displaced acetabular fractures.
Methods: This study was performed in an academic level I trauma centre.
Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) with a medial pivot design was developed in order to mimic normal knee kinematics; the highly congruent medial compartment implant should improve clinical results and decrease contact stresses. Clinical and radiographic mid-term outcomes are satisfactory, but we need other studies to evaluate long-term results and indications for unusual cases.

This study in Egypt investigated the association between serum adiponectin levels and pre-eclampsia and between adiponectin levels and some clinical and hormonal parameters. A sample of 60 pregnant women in the third trimester were divided into 3 equal groups: normal pregnancy, mild pre-eclampsia and severe pre-eclampsia.
