Methods: This study is a retrospective descriptive study that includes 114 patients who underwent surgeries for colorectal carcinoma at Al-Ain and Tawam Hospitals in the United Arab Emirates during the period 1985 through to 1998. These patients were under medical follow up for a mean period of 24 months (range 6-120 months) Both univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to assess predictors of recurrence and survival.
