Mental health preparedness and response to epidemics focusing on COVID-19 pandemic: a qualitative study in Iran.

Background: During epidemics, the number of individuals whose mental health is affected is greater than those affected by the infection itself. This is because psychological factors have a direct relationship with the primary causes of the disease and mortality worldwide. Therefore, an increasing investment in research and strategic actions for mental health is essential globally, given the prevalence of infectious diseases.

Establishment of a murine model of breast cancer expressing human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (4T1-HER2).

Aim: Although people with HER2-positive breast cancer benefit from approved HER2-targeted therapy, acquiring resistance to the therapies occurs. Animal models can play a part in gaining a deep understanding of such a process and addressing questions concerning developing and improving immunotherapy approaches.

Materials And Methods: To develop such a model, we transfected murine 4T1 cells with the pCMV6-Neo-HER2 construct and evaluated HER2 expression and its effects on the established cell line behavior in vitro and in vivo.

Nurses' experiences of providing medical services during the Kermanshah earthquake in Iran: a qualitative study.

Background: Nurses have always been at the forefront of providing services for victims of disasters. Using nurses' experiences in disaster planning can play an important role in improving their readiness to provide healthcare during disasters. The objective of this study is not only to understand the challenges but also to explore and document the broader spectrum of experiences encountered by nurses in these critical situations.

An effective DNA priming-protein boosting approach for the cervical cancer vaccination.

Considerable advances have been made in developing human papillomaviruses (HPV) prophylactic vaccines based on L1 virus-like particles (VLPs). However, there are limitations in the availability of these vaccines in developing countries, where most cases of cervical cancer occur. In the current study, the prime-boost immunization strategies were studied using a DNA vaccine carrying HPV-16 L1 gene (pcDNA/L1) and insect cell baculovirus-derived HPV-16 L1 VLP.
