The ALICE Collaboration reports the measurement of semi-inclusive distributions of charged-particle jets recoiling from a high transverse momentum (high p_{T}) hadron trigger in proton-proton and central Pb-Pb collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV. A data-driven statistical method is used to mitigate the large uncorrelated background in central Pb-Pb collisions.

Measurements of K^{+}K^{-} photoproduction probe the couplings between the ϕ(1020) and charged kaons with photons and nuclear targets. The kaon-proton scattering occurs at energies far above those available elsewhere.

Apart from the morbidity and mortality caused by the virus itself, it is noted that patients affected with this virus have a higher susceptibility to bacterial and fungal co-infections. Mucormycosis is a rare and life-threatening fungal infection generally associated with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus and immunosuppression.

GATA-3 is increasingly being used as a marker of primary breast origin. This study was done to evaluate and compare GATA-3 with GCDFP-15 and Mammaglobin in invasive primary including metastatic and triple negative breast carcinomas.

It is important to differentiate this neoplasm from malignant conditions as RH has a good prognosis. As it has a tendency to recur locally, it may be misdiagnosed as a malignant tumor.

It is the third most prevalent reason for maternal death. According to statistics, sepsis caused 11 percent of maternal fatalities worldwide.

Essential thrombocythemia can be considered a risk factor for thrombotic events. A 34-year-old female presented with sudden onset of abdominal pain from splenic infarction for which she underwent splenectomy.

In addition, the presence of flawed or leaky restorations, gingival recession, or defects in the cementoenamel junction can also cause severe tooth sensitivity post tooth bleaching.Hence, the current study aimed to perform a systematic review to determine the efficacy of various desensitizing agents (DA) in managing post-operative tooth sensitivity and color alteration when applied before in-office bleaching procedures.

However, these systems are prone to spoofing attacks attempted with the help of contact lenses, replayed video, and print attacks, making them vulnerable and unsafe. This paper proposes the iris liveness detection (ILD) method to mitigate spoofing attacks, taking global-level features of Thepade's sorted block truncation coding (TSBTC) and local-level features of the gray-level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM) of the iris image.

Because of the heterogenous microscopy of the lesion, various clinical and radiological features are observed, leading to diagnostic difficulty.

Results: We report identification of BMP inhibitor gremlin, comparison of its expression with that of noggin and possible antagonism between Wnt and BMP signaling in Hydra. Gremlin is expressed in body column with high levels in budding region and in early buds.

The causative agent of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The SARS-CoV-2 possesses RNA as a genetic material with 79% of the match with the bat SARS-CoV genome, which became epidemic in 2002. The SARS-CoV-2 peripheral Spike-Fc protein binds specifically to the ACE2 receptors present on bronchial epithelial cells and alveolar pneumocytes to downmodulates its expression which leads to severe acute respiratory failure.

As the posterior tracheal wall is in contact with the esophagus, there is a possibility that the insertion of transesophageal echo (TEE) probe may compress the tracheal wall and increase CP.
Aims: This study was aimed to assess the impact of TEE probe insertion on CP in adults undergoing cardiac surgery.

Background And Aims: Cardiac surgery associated acute kidney injury (CSA-AKI) is serious complication after cardiac surgery. The time interval between coronary angiography (CAG) to coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) is proposed as modifiable risk factor for reduction of CSA-AKI. The aim of this study was to assess influence of time interval between CAG to off-pump CABG (OPCABG) on incidence of CSA-AKI.

In advanced stage of filariasis, medical management is seldom effective and few surgical procedures are beneficial. In this study, we assessed clinical efficacy of a surgical technique combining vascularized lymph node transfer (VLNT) and serial excision for patients affected by advanced LF.
