The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy of different methods of sutureless fixation of lightweight meshes made of different polymers for repair of experimental hernias. Two lateral hernia defects were modeled in male rats and covered with polyester and polypropylene prostheses. The meshes were fixed with Histacryl glue (group 1), or self-gripping meshes were used (group 2), or the meshes were implanted without fixation (group 3).

Currently, in the Russian Federation, unfortunately, management of patients with OAB includes the recommendations for symptomatic use of incontinence pads without pharmacotherapy. Along with this, the market is represented by a number of drugs that can reduce the occurrence of adverse symptoms associated with OAB syndrome.

The aim of the investigation is working-out algorithm diagnoses of cor pulmonary on the grounds of mathematical modeling and analyses of the results of several instrumental indices. The results of the investigation indices showed that worked-out by means of mathematical analyses the dimensionless coefficients permit find out the necessary instrumental indices for CP diagnose.

Working-out the algorithm of the diagnosis of cor pulmonary on the grounds of mathematical modeling and analysis of laboratory indices. Worked-out dimensionless parameters of more informational indices of aggregate particularities of formal elements of blood, lipid spectrum, the level human interleukin 1beta irrespective each other with the record of permissible diapason permit diagnosing the early stages of disease, estimate its dynamics and make provisions against its further development.

Dithionite acted both as a strong reductant and an agent that induced a local acidification of solutions without notable change in pH value.

It was assumed that thiosulfate protects dinitrosyl-iron complexes from the destructive influence of superoxide and peroxinitrite whose enhanced synthesis, together with the synthesis of nitric oxide, is initiated in mice by the lipopolysaccharide. For the first time, the formation of dinitrosyl-iron complexes was demonstrated, which occurs with the participation of nitric oxide generated enzymatically via the L-arginine-dependent pathway.

Twelve strains of Pseudomonas fluorescens and P. putida were grown in a synthetic medium that contained L-lysine as the only source of carbon and nitrogen, and screened for L-lysine-2-monooxygenase production. Best production was by P.

Cytogenetic action of 4'-epidoxorubicin (farmorubicin), an antitumor antibiotic was studied with using rat bone marrow cells. It was shown that after intraperitoneal administration the antibiotic increased the number of the aberrant metaphases when the dose was not lower than that equivalent to 1/30 of the LD50. The number of the aberrant metaphases increased with increasing of the antibiotic dose.

The purification procedure included ammonium sulfate fractionation, acid treatment, gel filtration through Sephadex G-200 and ion-exchange chromatography on DEAE-Sephadex A-50. Such treatment resulted in more than 220-fold purification and 22% yield; the specific activity of the enzyme is 14.

The method of penetrating ions was used to measure the membrane potential and to study the creatine phosphokinase reaction in rat heart mitochondria. The concentration of adenine nucleotides in the intermembrane space at different levels of the membrane potential was estimated. The role of the diffusional layer adjacent to the inner membrane of heart mitochondria for coupling of the creatine phosphokinase reaction with oxidative phosphorylation is discussed.

The addition of ADP to respiring mitochondria decreases the membrane potential in the course of the ATP synthesis. The subsequent addition of creatine decreases the membrane potential for a long period of time because of ADP formation in creatine phosphokinase reaction.

It has been studied the role of intracysternal administration of neuropeptides--five analogous of 8-lysinvasopressin (LVP) [Des-9-Gly-cine-amide-LVP (DGLVP), Tri-Gly-LVP, deamino-LVP (1--beta-mercaptopropionic acid-LVP), Leu4-LVP, Asn1,6-LVP] and two cardiotrop hexapeptides (acetylated and non) separated from the hypothalamus in the regulation of various types of RNA (GC and AU types n-RNA, r-RNA, t-RNA) biosynthesis in the brain. Using the combined method of phenol extraction, differential ultracentrifugation, gel-filtration and ultraviolet spectroscory of various types of RNA has been shown the increase in the content of r-RNA and t-RNA under the influence of DGLVP, Leu4-LVP and cardiotrop hexapeptide. Deamino-LVP, Tri-Gly-LVP and acetylated hexapeptide stimulate the rise in the content of r-RNA and AU type n-RNA (precursor of m-RNA).
