Nasolacrimal Metastasis from Parotid Ductal Carcinoma Detected by F-FDG PET/CT.

A 39-year-old woman presented with left neck masses for 4 months and epiphora of the left eye for 3 weeks. Ultrasonography revealed a mass in the left parotid gland and multiple cervical lymph nodes. Biopsy of the mass in the left parotid gland revealed infiltrating ductal carcinoma.

Development and validation of a Prediction Model for Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Disease.

Background: Acute pulmonary embolism (APE) is a critical disease with a high mortality rate, some of the surviving patients may develop chronic thromboembolic pulmonary disease (CTEPD), which affects the patient's prognosis. However, the research on the early diagnosis of CTEPD is limited. This study aimed to establish a prediction model for earlier identification of CTEPD.

Concurrent computed tomography-guided radioactive iodine-125 seeds percutaneous interstitial implantation and chemotherapy for treatment of cervical lymph node metastases.

Aim: The study aimed to evaluate the effect of concurrent computed tomography (CT)-guided percutaneous interstitial implantation of iodine-125 (I) seeds and chemotherapy on cervical lymph nodes metastasis.

Methods: The prospective randomized study included 82 cases with cervical lymph nodes metastasis who were admitted to our hospital from January 2010 to June 2012. All the subjects were randomly divided into the concurrent I implantation and chemotherapy group (n = 48) and chemotherapy-only group (n = 34) according to the treatment strategy.
