Introduction: Although previous studies have shown that severe medial knee osteoarthritis (OA) (Kellgren-Lawrence grade IV) is a risk factor for patient dissatisfaction following medial open-wedge high tibial osteotomy (MOWHTO), it is uncommon to perform arthroplasty as a primary surgical option in patients 55 years of age or younger. Thus, the purpose of our study was to evaluate whether severe medial knee OA is a risk factor for dissatisfaction following MOWHTO depending on patient age based on a cutoff of 55 years.
Material And Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the data of 270 consecutive patients who underwent MOWHTO with a minimum of 2 years of follow up.
Purpose: This study investigated whether age affects clinical outcomes and cartilage repair quality in patients who underwent collagen-augmented chondrogenesis.
Methods: The study included patients who underwent either the collagen-augmented chondrogenesis technique or microfracture for cartilage defects of the knee joint of International Cartilage Repair Society grade 3 or 4. Patients were categorised according to an age threshold of 50 years and the treatment method, whether collagen-augmented chondrogenesis technique or microfracture.

Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical and radiographic outcomes and to determine the survivorship of a high-flexion design total knee arthroplasty (TKA) prosthesis, the LOSPA knee system, over a follow-up period of 10-12 years.

Ramp injury, that is, injury to the peripheral attachment of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus, often requires additional surgery during anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Diagnosis and treatment of ramp lesions are important because unrepaired ramp lesions could cause risk to the reconstructed ACL because of anteroposterior and external rotation laxity, whereas acute rupture or chronic deficiency of the ACL could also cause ramp lesions because of instability. Ramp lesions are difficult to diagnose and treat from the anterior compartment during arthroscopy.

Purpose: The goal of this retrospective observational study is to determine whether patients with and without central sensitization (CS) undergoing total knee arthroplasty (TKA) have similar preoperative expectations. It was hypothesized that the degree of preoperative expectations is higher in patients with CS than in those without.
Methods: The data of 324 patients who underwent primary unilateral TKA for knee osteoarthritis were reviewed and CS was measured using the Central Sensitization Inventory (CSI), which is a validated self-reported questionnaire consisting of a total of 25 questions.
