In this study, highly transparent siloxane-based hybrid UV-curable coating materials were prepared using (acryloxypropyl)methylsiloxane monomer (APMS), a thiol-ene monomer, with benzoin ethyl ether. For the thiol-ene monomer, either pentaerythritol tetrakis(3-mercaptopropionate) (PETTMP) or trimethylolpropane tris(3-mercaptopropionate) (TMPTMP) was used. The siloxane-based hybrid coating materials were highly transparent and hard (pencil hardness of 6-7H).

A highly flexible, transparent, and conductive polyimide (PI) hybrid film with good thermal stability was fabricated by embedding reduced graphene oxide (rGO) coated silver nanowire (AgNW) into 4,4'-(hexa fluoroisopropylidene)diphthalic anhydride(6FDA)/2,2'-bis(trifluoromethyl)benzidine (TFDB) poly(amic acid) using a spray coating method, followed by thermal imidization. The PI/AgNW/rGO conductive film exhibited good thermal stability up to 553 °C, low sheet resistance (37 Ω/sq), high optical transparency (81%), and high hydrophobic surface (water contact angle, 89°). The rGO protected the surface of AgNW, which is weak to oxidation in air condition, and thus effectively reduced the surface resistance of the PI hybrid film.

In this study, a composite has been prepared by mixing waste rubber, such as ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer and low-density poly ethylene foaming, with supercritical carbon dioxide. In order to optimise the foaming process of the waste ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer-low-density poly ethylene composite, the variations of pressure and temperature on the foamed Microcell formation were studied. As indicated in scanning electron microscope photographs, the most uniform microcellular pattern was found at 200 bar and 100 °C using 30% by weight of waste ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer.
