The purpose of this study was to better understand barriers and enabling conditions for HPV vaccination in school-based vaccination programs in Canada. Semi-structured interviews were conducted by telephone or in person with parents, nurses, and school staff (n = 50) in three Canadian provinces. Interviews explored views on HPV and HPV vaccination, strengths and weaknesses of the school-based HPV vaccination programs and proposed interventions to increase uptake.

Recently, clinical guidelines were developed that support post-transplant varicella vaccination in selected SOT recipients based on emerging evidence of LAVV safety. This qualitative study sought to explore barriers and facilitators to implementing the new guidelines, as well as acceptability of LAVV among healthcare providers (HCPs) and parents.

Pharmacists' scopes of practice are increasingly broadening to include immunization, and providers and policymakers may find meaning in the lessons we learned. Invitations to participate in our online survey were circulated by professional associations, health authorities, and in social media posts.

Vaccine coverage is below desired levels in Canada, despite National Advisory Committee on Immunization recommendations. One solution to improve coverage is to offer vaccines in pharmacies. We explore the awareness, attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors of the general public in four communities in Nova Scotia (NS) and New Brunswick (NB) about the changing role of pharmacists as immunizers.

Occasionally, National Immunization Technical Advisory Groups (NITAGs) make off-label recommendations for use in different age groups, populations, and dosing schedules from the product information. We sought to determine the rationale, policies and procedures for NITAG off-label recommendations.

This language raises safety concerns among healthcare providers who may hesitate to recommend vaccines during pregnancy.
Purpose: To develop clear evidence-based language about vaccine safety and effectiveness in pregnancy for inclusion in vaccine product labels.
Indirect drive experiments at the National Ignition Facility are designed to achieve fusion by imploding a fuel capsule with x rays from a laser-driven hohlraum. Previous experiments have been unable to determine whether a deficit in measured ablator implosion velocity relative to simulations is due to inadequate models of the hohlraum or ablator physics. ViewFactor experiments allow for the first time a direct measure of the x-ray drive from the capsule point of view.

We report on a 79-year-old nearly edentulous male patient in a weakened state who managed to partially obstruct a wire-reinforced endotracheal tube, despite the presence of a soft bite block. The risk of kinking wire-reinforced endotracheal tubes is not mitigated simply because the patient is edentulous.

Their residual actions can have profound effects on a patient's ability to adequately ventilate. Understanding the basics of their actions and the methods of monitoring the level of neuromuscular blockade will assist the PACU nurse in diagnosing the cause of postoperative muscle weakness and hypoventilation.

Because more studies are being conducted, researchers are discovering a vast array of physiological effects attributable to NO. NO has been implicated as having a role in the endogenous regulation of blood pressure; smooth, skeletal, and cardiac muscle relaxation; renal and immune system functioning; and selective pulmonary vasodilation.
