Background: Previous studies have demonstrated that miR-146a-5p negatively regulated the intrinsic immune and inflammatory responses, whether the miR-146a-5p-enriched exosomes possess the anti-inflammation effect remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the effect of miR-146a-5p-enriched exosomes on M1 macrophage activation and inflammatory response and the potential molecular mechanism.
Methods: GEO database was used to analyze the expression of miR-146a-5p in serum exosomes of MASH patients.
Background: RNA-binding proteins are revealed to play important roles during the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the regulatory mechanisms of RNA-binding protein Quaking (QKI) in the expression and role of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in HCC cells remain not well understood.
Methods: Cell Counting Kit-8, wound-healing, Transwell and colony-forming assays were performed to evaluate the effects of QKI and lncRNA EGOT on proliferation and migration of HCC cells.
In recent years, several clinical trials have focused on oncolytic virus (OVs) combined with chemotherapy or immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in solid tumor patients, which showed encouraging effects. However, few studies have concentrated on the summary on the safety and efficacy of the combined treatments. Therefore, we conducted this meta-analysis to explore the safety and curative effect of the combined therapy.

A-kinase interacting protein 1 (AKIP1) is an important regulator controlling metastasis, lymphangiogenesis and angiogenesis. However, the role of AKIP1 in NSCLC progression is still little known.

Tumor-associated calcium signal transducer 2, also known as trop2, was identified to be correlated with tumor proliferation and invasion of non-small-cell lung cancer; however, the biological role of trop2 in neovascularization of non-small-cell lung cancer remained elusive. In this study, we first verified that trop2 was overexpressed in non-small-cell lung cancer tissues as well as cell lines and that the increased expression of trop2 promoted non-small-cell lung cancer cell proliferation and invasion.

Methods: A total of 280 patients with moderate bronchial asthma at People's Hospital of Zhengzhou University between January 2011 and December 2011 were recruited and randomized into 2 groups: observation group with inhaled budesonide 400 µg/d plus aminophylline tablet (0.1 g, 3 times/day, oral administration and control group with inhaled budesonide 320 µg/day plus formoterol 9 µg/day.
Object: To assess the clinical value of procalcitonin to guide antibiotic therapy in acute exacerbations of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
Methods: Patients with acute exacerbations of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis were randomly assigned to the procalcitonin-guided group (antibiotic use guided by a procalcitonin threshold of 0.25 ng/ml) or the routine treatment group (antibiotic use according to routine practice).

A total of 52 strains were resistant to amoxicillin-clavulanate by disk diffusion method in a Chinese tertiary hospital from July 2011 to December 2011. Among these isolates, 2 isolates possessed a phenotype consistent with production of inhibitor-resistant temoniera (TEM) (IRT) β-lactamase, and the TEM-type gene was cloned into strains of Escherichia coli JM109 cells. Both had no blaTEM mutations and were identified as TEM-1 β-lactamase producers.
