Ectopic breast tissue has the ability to undergo all the pathological changes of the normal breast, including breast cancer. Gastrointestinal metastasis of breast cancer is rarely observed and it is very difficult to differentiate gastric metastases from primary gastric cancer. We present a case of 52-year-old female, who suffered from abdominal pain.

Aim: When there is excess inflammation, fibrosis and portal hypertension around gall bladder or in presence of Mirizzi syndrome, bile ducts and hepatic artery may be possibly damaged during dissection of Calot triangle. In this study, we examined safety and efficiency of partial cholecystectomy operation which we perform when dissection of Calot triangle is challenging.

Method And Material: Eighteen patients who were undergone partial cholecystectomy in our clinic between 1996 and 2008 were retrospectively evaluated.

We report on a case of a leiomyoma in the inferior vena cava that appeared in the image to be located in the adrenal gland. En bloc excision of the tumor with the right adrenal gland and the involved segment of the vena cava was carried out. Histopathological work-up of the tumor revealed smooth muscle fibers and marked nuclear pleomorphism consistent with symplastic leiomyoma.

Introduction: Axillary node status is the most important prognostic factor for patients with primary breast carcinoma, making axillary lymph node dissection (ALND) a standard surgical treatment of breast cancer. Postoperative sequelae to ALND is frequently reported. In this study we aimed to find out objectively, how much damage is caused to these nerves during ALND.

Background: This study was designed to elucidate the in vivo efficacy of epidermal growth factor (EGF) on wound healing in non diabetic and diabetic rats.

Methods: Ninety-six male Wistar-Albino rats were randomly divided into six groups. Saline-moistened gauze, pure gelatin or EGF in gelatin-microsphere dressings were used in a dermal excision model in both normal and streptomycin-induced diabetic rats.

Objectives: Repair of groin hernia is one of the most common operations performed by general surgeons, and mesh repair methods have gained wide acceptance. Chronic pain is the most serious long-term complication that can occur after repair of groin hernia. The development of chronic pain after herniorraphy has been attributed to several mechanisms, including damage to sensory nerves and mesh inguinodynia.
