Colorectal carcinoma (CRC) is a heterogeneous group of tumors with varying therapeutic response and prognosis, and evidence suggests the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) plays a pivotal role. Using advanced molecular and spatial biology technologies, we aimed to evaluate the TIME in patients with CRC to determine whether specific alterations in the immune composition correlated with prognosis. We identified primary and metastatic tumor samples from 31 consented patients, which were profiled with whole-exome sequencing and bulk RNA-seq.

Bev affects angiogenic factors other than vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), which are poorly understood. We investigated changes in angiogenic factors under and after Bev therapy, including angiopoietin-1 (ANGPT1), angiopoietin-2 (ANGPT2), placental growth factor (PLGF), fibroblast growth factor 2, and ephrin A2 (EphA2).

However, clinically aggressive PAs despite benign histology have been reported, and histological and molecular risk factors for prognosis have not been elucidated. 38 PAs were studied for clinical, histological, and molecular factors, including tumor location, extent of resection, post-operative treatment, glioma-associated molecules (IDH1/2, ATRX, BRAF, FGFR1, PIK3CA, H3F3A, p53, VEGF, Nestin, PD-1/PD-L1), CDKN2A/B deletion, and chromosomal number aberrations, to see if there is any correlation with patient's progression-free survival (PFS).

Materials And Methods: This was a retrospective study of 34 patients with HCM and 31 non-HCM patients who underwent cardiac computed tomography (CT) using retrospective electrocardiogram-gated mode. CT images were reconstructed every 5% (0-95%) of the RR intervals.
This study aimed to determine the role of transient receptor potential vanilloid 4 (TRPV4), a calcium (Ca)-permeable cation channel, in the pathophysiology of retinal vascular disease. The retinal vein occlusion (RVO) murine model was created by irradiating retinal veins using lasers. TRPV4 expression and localization were evaluated in RVO mice retinas.

The transformation between isolated skyrmions and bimerons is an essential operation for computing architecture based on multiple different topological bits. Here we report the creation of isolated skyrmions and their subsequent transformation to bimerons by harnessing the electric current-induced Oersted field and temperature-induced perpendicular magnetic anisotropy variation.

GLI1 gene fusions were initially described in pericytomas with a t[7;12] translocation and more recently in gastric plexiform fibromyxomas and gastroblastomas. This study describes the clinicopathologic, immunohistochemical, and molecular features of three intestinal-based neoplasms harboring GLI1 gene fusions.

Locally advanced and metastatic UC have a poor long-term survival following progression on first-line platinum-based chemotherapy. Antibodies directed against the programmed cell death 1 protein (PD-1) or its ligand (PD-L1) are now approved to be used in these scenarios.

Those histological features, patients OS, and tumor chromosomal/genetic characteristics were correlated each other in each of the 3 IDH-1p/19q-based molecular groups.

Due to the rarity of its nature, its pathophysiology and appropriate treatment remain elusive. We report a case of intramedullary spinal cord gliofibroma that was surgically treated multiple times.

This study aimed to elucidate the histological changes and the mechanism of recurrence after alkylating agent chemotherapy in 1p/19-codeleted gliomas.
Methods: Fourteen 1p/19q-codeleted gliomas resected following tumor volume decrease after alkylating agent chemotherapy were included and compared with their pre-chemotherapy specimens.
Low-grade, low-stage endometrioid carcinomas (LGLS EC) demonstrate 5-yr survival rates up to 95%. However, a small subset of these tumors recur, and little is known about prognostic markers or established mutation profiles associated with recurrence. The goal of the current study was to identify the molecular profiles of the primary carcinomas and the genomic differences between primary tumors and subsequent recurrences.

The confinement of skyrmions in channels is fundamental for any application based on the accumulation and transport of skyrmions. Here, we report a method that allows effective position control of skyrmions in designed channels by engineered energy barriers and wells, which is realized in a magnetic multilayer film by harnessing the boundaries of patterns with modified magnetic properties.

Thus, a rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) tumor cytology adequacy assessment was incorporated into the workflow of precision oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. Optimal samples were obtained from 68 patients with metastatic cancer.

Methods: Genome-wide DNA methylation analysis was performed using the Infinium Human Methylation 450 K BeadChip, and levels of mRNA expression were analyzed by quantitative reverse transcription-PCR.
Results: Compared to 36 samples of normal control liver tissue (C), DNA methylation alterations were observed on 19,281 probes in 22 samples of cancerous tissue (T) obtained from patients showing histological features compatible with NASH in their non-cancerous liver tissue (N).
Aims: Histological invasion into the adjacent brain parenchyma is frequently investigated in meningioma because it is an important morphological criterion for grade II meningioma according to the 2016 WHO classification. However, few studies have focused on dural invasion of meningiomas. Herein, we propose a novel histopathological classification based on dural invasion of meningiomas.

BCOR has been recognized as a recurrently altered gene in a subset of pediatric tumors of the central nervous system (CNS). Here, we describe a novel BCOR-CREBBP fusion event in a case of pediatric infiltrating astrocytoma and further probe the frequency of related fusion events in CNS tumors. We analyzed biopsy samples taken from a 15-year-old male with an aggressive, unresectable and multifocal infiltrating astrocytoma.
