In the present study, we demonstrate that the blood pressure response to arm-curl exercise was intensified by the BFR technique, and the degree of intensification was associated with a blood pressure response to postexercise muscle ischemia of the elbow flexors, which elicit a muscle metaboreflex. BFR technique intensifies blood pressure response to exercise, which was associated with a blood pressure response in postexercise muscle ischemia-induced muscle metaboreflex.
