Aim: Chemotherapy-induced alopecia (CIA) is the most common side effect of systemic treatment in breast cancer patients. Scalp cooling gained worldwide acceptance in preventing or mitigating CIA in patients undergoing chemotherapy. The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the Paxman scalp cooling system (PSCS) in Indian breast cancer patients.

Hemangiopericytoma of supraglottis: A rare case report and review of literature.

In 1942, Stout and Murray first used the term hemangiopericytoma to describe a tumor which is distinguished histologically from other types of vascular neoplasm characterized by proliferation of pericytes. It is a rare neoplasm that was originally described as a vascular tumor derived from the pericytes. They account for 2%-3% of all soft tissue sarcomas in humans and they occur mainly in the musculoskeletal system.

But the solubility and bioavailability of this drug are poor, which has restricted the design and development of dosage forms for efficient and successful therapy. Ifosfamide-induced Encephalopathy Precipitated by Aprepitant: A Rarely Manifested Side Effect of Drug Interaction.

Central nervous system (CNS) toxicity has been reported in approximately 10%-30% of patients receiving intravenous infusions of ifosfamide. Encephalopathy is a rare but serious CNS adverse reaction in these patients, and although usually transient and reversible, may cause persistent neurological dysfunction or death. Clinical features range from fatigue and confusion to coma and death.

Effect of polyvinyl caprolactam-polyvinyl acetate-polyethylene glycol graft copolymer on bioadhesion and release rate property of eplerenone pellets.

The present study involved the design and development of oral bioadhesive pellets of eplerenone. A solid dispersion of eplerenone was developed with a hydrophilic carrier, polyvinyl caprolactam-polyvinyl acetate-polyethylene glycol graft copolymer (Soluplus). Bioadhesive pellets were prepared from this solid dispersion using a combination of HPMC K4M and Carbopol 934P.

Rituximab-induced interstitial lung disease in a patient with follicular lymphoma: A rare case report.

Rituximab is a chimeric monoclonal antibody that targets CD-20 antigen expressed in more than 90% of all B cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). We report a case of 33-year-old female without any comorbidities, newly diagnosed with stage IIIB follicular lymphoma treated with rituximab-based chemotherapy. Patient developed exertional dyspnea and dry cough after the fourth cycle of rituximab-based chemotherapy.

A comparison of sputum examination for acid fast bacilli by modified Schaeffer & Fulton stain, Ziehl-Neelsen stain & cold stain.

A comparative study of Ziehl-Neelsen stain, cold stain and modified Schaeffer and Fulton stain was carried out to evaluate the efficiency of modified Schaeffer and Fulton method in sputum examination for acid fast bacilli (AFB). Of 187 sputum samples studied, 67 (35.82%) were reported positive by Ziehl-Neelsen stain and cold stain method while 66 (35.
