Coordinated expression of replication-dependent (RD) histones genes occurs within the Histone Locus Body (HLB) during S phase, but the molecular steps in transcription that are cell cycle regulated are unknown. We report that RNA Pol II promotes HLB formation and is enriched in the HLB outside of S phase, including G1-arrested cells that do not transcribe RD histone genes. In contrast, the transcription elongation factor Spt6 is enriched in HLBs only during S phase.

Amidst the current healthcare workforce crisis, nurses continue to experience burnout, with one contributor being the growing amount of required documentation and other electronic health record (EHR) tasks that must be completed. This study aims to identify ways in which nurses can be better supported through consideration for the burden that EHR systems may present due to increasing documentation requirements and areas of inefficient use. This study leverages nursing engagement to ensure the needs of nurses are identified and EHR efficiency is improved.

Background: According to person-by-environment models, individual differences in traits may moderate the association between stressors and the development of psychopathology; however, findings in the literature have been inconsistent and little literature has examined adolescent brain structure as a moderator of the effects of stress on adolescent internalizing symptoms. The COVID-19 pandemic presented a unique opportunity to examine the associations between stress, brain structure, and psychopathology. Given links of cortical morphology with adolescent depression and anxiety, the current study investigated whether cortical morphology moderated the relationship between stress from the COVID-19 pandemic and the development of internalizing symptoms in familial high-risk adolescents.
