Congestive heart failure is an uncommon initial presentation for dystrophin-deficient muscular dystrophies. Cardiac manifestations may appear in late disease stages, although they classically present after musculoskeletal symptoms develop. This case report describes a patient who presented with heart failure and was newly diagnosed with Becker muscular dystrophy.

Here, we report a case of severe costochondritis unresponsive to traditional management in a child who had COVID-19 infection a few months earlier. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of post-COVID-19 costochondritis (PCC) that has been successfully managed with colchicine.
