This review aims to raise awareness about the prevalence and impact of pediatric anxiety, emphasizing the need for clinician education in primary care and mental health settings. Early detection and management of pediatric anxiety can be achieved through the development and implementation of standardized screening protocols. Our goal is to positively improve the outcomes of pediatric patients suffering from anxiety by improving the awareness and knowledge of clinicians in primary and mental health care settings.

Background: Frontline workers in psychiatric facilities are exposed to considerable risks of verbal and physical assaults, with 40% to 65% of mental health nurses experiencing violence in the workplace. The goal of this pilot study was to assess the readiness and motivation for adopting trauma-informed care (TIC) to address workplace violence in an acute care psychiatric hospital.

Method: A pre-post quality improvement study was conducted in two pilot units of a 274-bed acute care psychiatric hospital, involving a discussion-based seminar and a practical exercise.

The purpose of this research study was to assess the impact of professional learning on teachers' reported beliefs about students identified as twice exceptional (2e) and students from culturally, economically, and linguistically diverse (CLED) populations, using a semi-randomized experimental design intervention. Teachers in the experimental condition participated in professional learning opportunities featuring curriculum materials, lessons, and activities highlighting support for students identified as 2e or from CLED populations. Teachers in the control condition received no intervention.

Decision-making is the central element of self-determination, requiring targeted, systematic instruction to learn. In this study, researchers developed a multicomponent intervention, "What ELSE about this job?", to teach job decision-making skills to college students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The intervention coupled remote audio coaching (RAC) with a mnemonic device, 'ELSE', to guide students to make decisions about whether certain jobs would be a good fit for them.

Many individuals with an intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) are attending postsecondary education programs, yet they are not always proficient in using self-advocacy skills, such as requesting an academic accommodation. Access to these accommodations is vital for success in the postsecondary settings. Literacy based behavioral interventions (LBBIs) use a combination of print, visuals, and rehearsal and are an effective tool for teaching a range of skills including job skills to this population, but have not been investigated with a self-advocacy skill.

The Florida Bay ecosystem supports a number of economically important ecosystem services, including several recreational fisheries, which may be affected by changing salinity and temperature due to climate change. In this paper, we use a combination of physical models and habitat suitability index models to quantify the effects of potential climate change scenarios on a variety of juvenile fish and lobster species in Florida Bay. The climate scenarios include alterations in sea level, evaporation and precipitation rates, coastal runoff, and water temperature.
