Aims: Traditional cardiovascular (CV) biomarkers (high-sensitivity troponinT [hsTnT] and N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide [NT-proBNP]) are important to monitor cancer patients' cardiac function and to assess prognosis. Newer CV biomarkers (mid-regional pro-adrenomedullin [MR-proADM], C-terminal pro-arginine vasopressin [copeptin], and mid-regional pro-atrial natriuretic peptide [MR-proANP]) might outperform traditional biomarkers.

Methods And Results: Overall, 442 hospitalized cancer patients without significant CV disease or current infection were enrolled (61 ± 15 years, 52% male, advanced cancer stage: 85%) and concentrations of CV biomarkers were analysed.

JCO Primary analysis of the phase III randomized AATT study showed that younger patients with peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) consolidated with autologous or allogeneic transplantation (alloSCT) had similar event-free survival (EFS) and overall survival (OS). Seven-year EFS of patients randomly assigned to alloSCT was 38% (95% CI, 25 to 52) compared with 34% (95% CI, 22 to 47) for patients randomly assigned to autologous transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells (autoSCT); OS was 55% (95% CI, 41 to 69) and 61% (95% CI, 47 to 74). Among patients undergoing alloSCT (n = 26) or autoSCT (n = 41) on study, the cumulative progression/relapse rate was 8% (95% CI, 0 to 19) and 55% (95% CI, 35 to 74).

We report on a femtosecond thulium laser operating on the H → H transition with upconversion pumping around 1 µm and passively mode-locked by a GaSb-based SEmiconductor Saturable Absorber Mirror (SESAM). We investigate terahertz time-domain spectroscopy using a low-noise dual-frequency-comb laser based on a single spatially multiplexed laser cavity. The laser cavity includes a reflective biprism, which enables generation of a pair of modelocked output pulse trains with slightly different repetition rates and highly correlated noise characteristics. These two pulse trains are used to generate the THz waves and detect them by equivalent time sampling.

Dual-comb microscopy enables high-speed and high-precision optical sampling by simultaneously extracting both amplitude and phase information from the interference signals with frequency division multiplexing. In this Letter, we introduce a spatiotemporal encoding approach for dual-comb microscopy that overcomes previous limitations such as mechanical scanning, low sampling efficiency, and system complexity. By employing free-space angular-chirp-enhanced delay (FACED) and a low-noise single-cavity dual-comb laser, we achieve scan-less 3D imaging with nanometer precision and a 3D distance-imaging rate of 330 Hz, restricted only by the repetition rate difference of the dual-comb laser.
