Hirschsprung disease, a congenital disease characterized by the absence of ganglion cells, presents significant surgical challenges. Addressing a critical gap in intraoperative diagnostics, we introduce transformative artificial intelligence approach that significantly enhances the detection of ganglion cells in frozen sections. The data set comprises 366 frozen and 302 formalin-fixed-paraffin-embedded hematoxylin and eosin-stained slides obtained from 164 patients from 3 centers.

Automated and accurate segmentation of cancerous cell and tissue regions can streamline the diagnostic process, providing insights into the cancer progression, and helping experts decide on the most effective treatment. Here, we evaluate the performance of the proposed PathoSeg model, with an architecture comprising of a modified HRNet encoder and a UNet++ decoder integrated with a CBAM block to utilize attention mechanism for an improved segmentation capability.

This study aimed to assess different convolutional neural networks (CNN) in deep learning algorithms to detect keratinized gingiva based on intraoral photos and evaluate the ability of networks to measure keratinized gingiva width.
Methods: Six hundred of 1200 photographs taken before and after applying a disclosing agent were used to compare the neural networks in segmenting the keratinized gingiva.
Nanostructured metal oxides (NMOs) provide electrical properties such as high surface-to-volume ratio, reaction activity, and good adsorption strength. Furthermore, they serve as a conductive substrate for the immobilization of biomolecules, exhibiting notable biological activity. Capitalizing on these characteristics, they find utility in the development of various electrochemical biosensing devices, elevating the sensitivity and selectivity of such diagnostic platforms.

Formalin-fixation and paraffin-embedding (FFPE) is a technique for preparing and preserving tissue specimens that has been utilized in histopathology since the late 19th century. This process is further complicated by FFPE preparation steps such as fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and coverslipping, which often results in artifacts due to the complex histological and cytological characteristics of a tissue specimen. The term "artifacts" includes, but is not limited to, staining inconsistencies, tissue folds, chattering, pen marks, blurring, air bubbles, and contamination.

Although hypotheses focused on the malignant transformation of the epithelial mucosa of odontogenic cysts or ectopic salivary gland tissue have been suggested, the etiology of the disease is still unclear. It is more frequent in middle-aged individuals, has a slight female predilection, and is more common in the mandible than in the maxilla.

Examples of developmental disorders include attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), cerebral palsy (CP), hearing loss, blindness, intellectual disability, and learning disability. Of these disorders, ASD prevalence was 18.

Materials And Methods: Forty-five patients with at least one implant with peri-implant mucositis were included in the present study (n = 45). The patients were divided into three groups: oral irrigator + toothbrush (OI group, n = 15), interdental brush + toothbrush (IB group, n = 15), and toothbrush only (control) (C group, n = 15).

Objective: To compare the efficacy of follicular flushing (FF) with double lumen needle and direct follicular aspiration with single lumen needle in terms of oocyte yield in mono-follicular responder patients undergoing assisted reproduction techniques (ART).
Materials And Methods: Prospective 'quasi-experimental' study was carried out in an IVF center. Infertile women 18-42 years of age with diminished ovarian reserve who revealed a single follicle >17 mm on the day of oocyte retrieval were included in the study.
Buckwheat was conserved either as silage at two dry matter (DM) levels attained with (wilted silage (WS), 313 g/kg) and without wilting (direct cut silage (DS), 171 g/kg) or as hay (856 g/kg) and was included in the isonitrogenous and isocaloric total mixed ration (TMR) of four groups of six Saanen goats each at the rate of 200 g/kg DM. Ensiling buckwheat at low DM led to a poorly fermented silage with higher ammonia-N and butyric acid contents and extensive growth of enterobacteria and mold-yeast than WS. The DM recovery of DS was lower than that of WS.

Materials And Methods: Forty-eight male Wistar rats were randomly divided into six groups (each n = 8). Fenestration defects were created in all rats, to which ABS, EMD, or saline (S) was then applied.
Purpose: A novel acute-phase protein, YKL-40, is known as an inflammation-associated glycoprotein. YKL-40 is shown to be linked to inflammation, endothelial dysfunction and tissue remodeling secreted by various cells and is also considered to be stimulated by cytokines such as interleukin-6 (IL-6). The present study aimed to investigate YKL-40 and IL-6 levels in saliva and gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) of patients with chronic periodontitis (CP) after non-surgical periodontal therapy for the first time.

Forty male Wistar rats were used in this study and experimental periodontitis was created in all rats except in the control group (n = 10, first group). In the periodontitis group, experimental periodontitis was created but no other application was performed (n = 10, second group).

A 2-yr study investigated the effect of spring defoliation of triticale, wheat, and rye at the tillering and stem elongation stages on total biomass, grain yields, and straw quality. Furthermore, straws of spring-defoliated and undefoliated (control) cereal crops were evaluated for nutritional value and voluntary intake as a means of assessing the efficiency of dual-purpose management systems from the winter feeding context as well.

Objective: The current study compared the effects of dietary levels of two phase stoned olive cake (OC) in form of silage (OCS) on milk production and quality of Saanen goats.
Methods: The OCS included in total mixed ration (TMR) at dry matter proportions of 0.0 (OC0), 0.
Purpose: The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of a dietary flavonoid, kaempferol, which has been shown to possess antiallergic, anti-inflammatory, anticarcinogenic, and antioxidant activities on the periodontium by histomorphometric analysis and on gingival tissue matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1), MMP-8, and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-2 (TIMP-2) by biochemical analysis of rats after experimental periodontitis induction.
Methods: Sixty Wistar rats were randomly divided into six groups of ten rats each, and silk ligatures were placed around the cervical area of the mandibular first molars for 15 days, except in the healthy control rats. In the experimental periodontitis groups, systemic kaempferol (10 mg/kg/2d) and saline were administered by oral gavage at two different periods (with and without the presence of dental biofilm) to all rats except for the ten non-medicated rats.
