The telomeric G-quadruplex (G4) along with the telomerase catalytic subunit hTERT are crucial in the extension of telomeres. Tumor cells can establish replicative immortality by activating the telomere-maintenance mechanism (TMM).Small molecule ligands can limit cancer telomere lengthening by by targeting at G4 and hTERT.

To study the pollution characteristics and sources of 16 PAHs in PM in Lanzhou, PM samples were collected in four seasons. GC-MS was employed to analyze the concentration of PAHs. Positive matrix factorization(PMF), trajectory cluster, and potential source contribution function(PSCF) were used to identify the sources of PAHs.

Highly sensitive, source-tracking acoustic sensing is essential for effective and natural human-machine interaction based on voice. It is a known challenge to omnidirectionally track sound sources under a hypersensitive rate with low noise interference using a compact sensor. Here, we present a unibody acoustic metamaterial spherical shell with equidistant defected piezoelectric cavities, referred to as the metasphere beamforming acoustic sensor (MBAS).

Background: Identifying a novel biomarker may contribute to detection of vulnerable plaque in patients with non-ST-elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS). The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between serum platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) and vulnerable plaque in patients with moderate and low risk of NSTE-ACS.

Methods: A total of 65 moderate- and low-risk NSTE-ACS patients with 50-90% coronary stenosis were divided into a vulnerable plaque group (n=46) and a stable plaque group (n=19) according to intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) examinations.
