The Li metal anode is a promising key component for next-generation high-energy-density batteries. Understanding the charge/discharge mechanism of Li metal is therefore necessary for the effective utilization of Li metal anodes in commercial batteries. In this study, scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) combined with electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) was conducted to reveal the chemical state of the Li metal anode surface.

Study Design: Prospective analysis of sagittal vertical axis (SVA) on lateral spine radiographs using 3 different arm positions.

Objective: To examine whether fists-on-clavicles position represents a functional standing position.

Summary Of Background Data: Radiographic visualization of spinal and pelvic sagittal morphology is difficult during relaxed standing because of interference from the arms; however, standing with arms forward-flexed results in a negative shift in SVA.

We investigated cortical responses to electrical stimulation of the retina using epi- and sub-retinal electrodes of 20-100 microm diameter. Temporal and spatial resolutions were assessed by recordings from the visual cortex with arrays of microelectrodes and optical imaging. The estimated resolutions were approximately 40 ms and approximately 1 degrees of visual angle.
