Disease behaviour is influenced by the nature of exposure and the host response, with varying degrees of lung inflammation and fibrosis seen within individuals. Hybrid PET/MRI has the potential to transform neuro-oncologic imaging, particularly in diagnosis and treatment planning of somatostatin receptor-expressing tumors of the head and neck. Hybrid PET/MRI combines high-resolution MRI with functional information from PET, providing precise anatomic information and overcoming difficulties in localization inherent to PET alone. There is a range of tumors in the head and neck that overexpress somatostatin receptors and are therefore amenable to evaluation with somatostatin receptor PET/MRI.

Atypical parkinsonian syndromes, also known as Parkinson-plus syndromes, are a heterogeneous group of movement disorders, including dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), multisystem atrophy (MSA), and corticobasal degeneration (CBD). This review highlights the characteristic structural, functional, and molecular imaging features of these complex disorders. DLB typically demonstrates parieto-occipital hypometabolism with involvement of the cuneus on FDG-PET, whereas dopaminergic imaging, such as [I]-FP-CIT SPECT (DaTscan) or fluorodopa (FDOPA)-PET, can be utilized as an adjunct for diagnosis.

Extranodal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a heterogeneous disease process and an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. We present a case of multiorgan involvement of DLBCL in a patient with documented risk factors, including [ F] fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/magnetic resonance imaging findings highlighting striking perineural spread involving intracranial and extracranial segments of the bilateral trigeminal nerves.

Background And Purpose: Fluorine 18-fluoro-L-dopa ([F]-FDOPA) was approved by the FDA in 2019 and reimbursed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in 2022 for use with PET to visualize dopaminergic nerve terminals in the striatum for evaluation of parkinsonism. We sought to determine the optimal image acquisition time for [F]-FDOPA PET by evaluating rater-estimated FDOPA positivity and image quality across 4 time points.

Objectives: In early 2020, at COVID-19's onset in the United States, the American Dental Association recommended postponing elective dental procedures to minimize viral spread. Subsequently, concerns arose that this could result in increased dental infections and resultant emergency department visits. This study quantifies the number and severity of dental infections at the onset of the early COVID-19 outbreak in early 2020 in the Northeast United States resulting in emergency room visits and radiographic imaging compared to 2017-2019 with an analysis of geographic population characteristics.

Background And Purpose: Due to its high sensitivity, somatostatin receptor-PET may detect smaller lesions and more extensive disease than contrast-enhanced MR imaging, while the superior spatial resolution of MR imaging enables lesions to be accurately localized.
