Purpose: This study aimed to assess the prevalence and characteristics of the peripapillary gamma zone in myopic, emmetropic, and hyperopic eyes of Chinese children.

Methods: Overall, 1274 children aged 6 to 8 years from the Hong Kong Children Eye Study underwent ocular examinations, including measurements of cycloplegic auto-refraction and axial length (AL). The optic disc was imaged using a Spectralis optical coherence tomography (OCT) unit and a protocol involving 24 equally spaced radial B-scans.

Modern commercial petunias exhibit a wide range of flower colors, which can be observed in gardens. Objective: The purpose of our study was to assess the morphologic pattern and exact site of local tumor progression with relation to various risk factors after radiofrequency ablation of liver tumors.

Conclusion: Local tumor progression after radiofrequency ablation shows mostly the peripheral nodular type. The site of local tumor progression shows a higher concordance rate with insufficient ablative margin than contiguous vessel and subcapsular location.

Nodular regenerative hyperplasia (NRH) of the liver, characterized by regenerative nodules distributed throughout the liver in the absence of fibrosis, is a rare but important complication of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The main consequence of NRH is non-cirrhotic portal hypertension. We describe a female patient who had immune thrombocytopenia in association with elevated liver enzymes and evidence of portal hypertension as initial manifestations of SLE.
