Diabetic wounds are refractory and recurrent diseases that necessitate the development of multifunctional dressings. Inspired by the structure and function of the skin, we herein delicately design a novel swollen hydrophobic hydrogel (QL@MAB) composed of hydrophobic methyl acrylate (MA) and (3-acrylamidophenyl)boronic acid (AAPBA) network and co-loaded with antioxidant quercetin (Q) and antibiotic levofloxacin (L) for efficient diabetic wound therapy. The hydrophobic MA segments undergo phase separation to form a dense "epidermis", ensuring prolonged drug diffusion, long-term water retention, and high water content.

To investigate the influence of immigration on the selection in structuring local water bacterial communities, we conducted a new community assembly experiment using microcosms filled with sterile original water medium under outdoor conditions. We collected air particulate matter from dust pooled from samples collected at 10 locations across ~20 km in a warm temperate region in Linfen City (northern China). The immigration rates were increased by introducing air particulate matter into the microcosms.

Enhancing the generalizability of neuroimaging studies requires actively engaging participants from under-represented communities. This paper leverages qualitative data to outline participant-driven recommendations for incorporating under-represented populations in neuroimaging protocols. A copper-catalyzed efficient regioselective silylation reaction of chloro-substituted allenyl-Bdan was developed. Simultaneous photothermal ablation of multiple tumors is limited by unpredictable photo-induced apoptosis, caused by individual intratumoral differences. Here, we describe the synthesis of a novel type of rare-earth-doped nanoparticles (NPs) for multimodal imaging, by combining the rare-earth elements Ce, Gd and Nd in a crystalline host lattice consisting of CaF (CaF: Ce, Gd, Nd). CaF: Ce, Gd, Nd NPs are small (15-20 nm), of uniform shape and size distribution, and show good biocompatibility and low immunogenicity in vitro.
