Quiet quitting is a term used to describe the idea of doing the minimum that is required to do your job but not outright quitting. With the extended fatigue from the COVID-19 pandemic and escalating workforce staffing shortages, quiet quitting could be a phenomenon occurring with certified registered nurse anesthetists. Wellness strategies to mitigate quiet quitting are discussed.

Unlabelled: A US collection of invasive serotype O1 bloodstream infection (BSI) isolates were assessed for genotypic and phenotypic diversity as the basis for designing a broadly protective O-antigen vaccine. Eighty percent of the BSI isolate serotype O1 strains were genotypically ST95 O1:K1:H7. The carbohydrate repeat unit structure of the O1a subtype was conserved in the three strains tested representing core genome multi-locus sequence types (MLST) sequence types ST95, ST38, and ST59.

Disorder hyperuniformity is a recently discovered exotic state of many-body systems that possess a hidden order in between that of a perfect crystal and a completely disordered system. Recently, this novel disordered state has been observed in a number of quantum materials including amorphous 2D graphene and silica, which are endowed with unexpected electronic transport properties. Here, we numerically investigate 1D atomic chain models, including perfect crystalline, disordered stealthy hyperuniform (SHU) as well as randomly perturbed atom packing configurations to obtain a quantitative understanding of how the unique SHU disorder affects the vibrational properties of these low-dimensional materials.

Posthodiplostomum minimum utilizes a three-host life cycle with multiple developmental stages. Mechanisms regulating CYP4F genes remain under investigation, although characterization of CYP4F regulatory modalities would facilitate the discovery of new drug targets. This present study shows that all-trans- and 9-cis-retinoic acids can inhibit CYP4F11 expression in human keratinocyte-derived HaCaT cells. Transrepression of many genes by retinoic acids is mediated by interactions between retinoid receptors and the activator protein 1 (AP-1) complex.

Metabolic inactivation of leukotriene B4 (LTB4) is an innate mechanism to resolve tissue inflammation. We studied the nine Cyp4f genes in the mouse genome, measuring cutaneous transcript levels by real-time polymerase chain reaction, and LTB4 metabolism in mouse and human skin. Transcripts arising from Cyp4f13 and 4f16 ranked most abundant, Cyp4f14, 4f17, and 4f37 ranked least abundant, and Cyp4f18 and 4f39 ranked intermediate.

In concert with the development of novel beta-lactams and broad-spectrum cephalosporins, bacterially encoded beta-lactamases have evolved to accommodate the new agents. This study was designed to identify, at the sequence level, the genes responsible for the extended-spectrum-beta-lactamase (ESBL) phenotypes of Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Proteus mirabilis isolates collected during the global tigecycline phase 3 clinical trials.
