The PI-PLA is transformed into both nonconductive and conductive filaments to produce full electroanalytical cells, including additively manufactured electrodes (AMEs). Here we report the behavioral responses of a savanna-dwelling primate, vervet monkeys (Chlorocebus aethiops), to fire-induced ecological change. Using behavioral and spatial data to characterize ranging patterns prior to and postburn and between burn and nonburn years, we show that these primates inhabiting small, spatially bound, riverine habitats take advantage of newly burned savanna landscapes.

Method: Retrospective data collected from 38 mothers of children with disabilities using the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM) were analyzed qualitatively.
Results: Six themes emerged: (I) doing and being alone: taking care of my own health and well-being; (II) doing and being with others: expanding my social life; (III) improving my child's quality of life; (IV) household management: organizing time and resources; (V) balancing work, home, and community responsibilities; and (VI) sharing the workload.
Nemaline myopathy (NM) is a neuromuscular disorder that is clinically diverse and can be attributed to mutations in any of several genes. The Ashkenazi Jewish population, which represents a relatively genetically homogeneous group, has an increased frequency of several genetic disorders and has been the beneficiary of genetic screening programs that have reduced the incidence of these diseases. The identification of individuals with NM in this population has prompted a study of its cause.

To investigate this possibility, the current study sought to determine whether the release of O2- and tumor necrosis factor (TNF) from Kupffer cells in donor livers can be suppressed if the organs are exposed to PTX before preservation. In an in vitro experiment, rat livers were flushed with PTX (25 mg/kg body weight) in University of Washington (UW) solution or UW solution alone (control) and then and stored in UW solution for either 4 or 24 hours.
