Dysbiosis of the intestinal microbiota is prevalent among patients with colorectal cancer (CRC). This study aims to explore the anticancer roles of the fecal microbiota in inhibiting the progression of colorectal cancer and possible mechanisms. The intestinal microbial dysbiosis in CRC mice was significantly ameliorated by fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), as indicated by the restored ACE index and Shannon index.

Aim: To study the morphological and functional changes in adipose tissue after DJB and explore the potential mechanisms contributing to postoperative insulin sensitivity improvement of adipose tissue in a diabetic male rat model.
Methods: DJB and sham surgery was performed in a-high-fat-diet/streptozotocin-induced diabetic rat model.
Background: Stress hyperglycemia ratio (SHR) could provide accurate information on the acute status of hyperglycemia. The relationship between SHR and acute coronary syndrome (ACS) prognosis remains unclear. This study was conducted to identity the association between SHR and in-hospital outcomes in patients with ACS.

Materials And Methods: From January 2014 to December 2020, 859 patients in the PACS system were retrospectively screened. Of the initial 722 patients with surgically confirmed rectal cancer and no synchronous metastases, 579 patients were excluded for various reasons such as lack of clinicopathological or radiological information.
Objectives: Colitis is a global disease usually accompanied by intestinal epithelial damage and intestinal inflammation, and an increasing number of studies have found natural products to be highly effective in treating colitis. Anemoside B4 (AB4), an abundant saponin isolated from Pulsatilla chinensis (Bunge), which was found to have strong anti-inflammatory activity. However, the exact molecular mechanisms and direct targets of AB4 in the treatment of colitis remain to be discovered.

Vascular dementia(VD) is a condition of cognitive impairment due to acute and chronic cerebral hypoperfusion. The available therapies for VD mainly focus on mitigating cerebral ischemia, improving cognitive function, and controlling mental behavior. Achievements have been made in the basic and clinical research on the treatment of VD with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) active components, including Ginkgo leaf extract, puerarin, epimedium, tanshinone, and ginsenoside.

Methods: Patients with HF and interventricular septal thickness (IVST) ≥ 13 mm resulted from HCM, who accepted conduction system pacing (CSP) with a percentage of ventricular pacing > 40% from May 2018 to April 2022 were consecutively enrolled in our center. LBBP was preferred and HBP was the alternative therapy unless IVST ≥ 16 mm or LBBP failed, whereas LBBP would be the alternative therapy if HBP failed in patients with IVST ≥ 16 mm.

Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the clinicopathological and radiological risk factors for postoperative peritoneal metastasis and develop a prediction model for the early detection of peritoneal metastasis in patients with colon cancer.
Methods: We included 174 patients with colon cancer. The clinicopathological and radiological data were retrospectively analyzed.
Aim: Xiongdanjiuxin pill (XP) is a traditional Chinese medicine formula for the prevention and treatment of hyperlipidemia (HLP) and related complications. In this study, the gut-liver axis was used as the breakthrough point to analyze the therapeutic effect and potential mechanism of XP on HLP model rats and related complications.
Main Methods: We used high-fat diet (HFD) to establish the HLP model of rats and treated them with XP.
Background: Spinal cord injury (SCI), which causes loss of sensory and motor function in the body below the level of injury, is a devastating disease of the central nervous system. SCI leads to severe secondary immunosuppression, called SCI-induced immunodeficiency syndrome (SCI-IDS), which is characterized by increased susceptibility to infection and further exacerbates neurological dysfunction. Several studies have suggested that SCI-IDS is an independent risk factor for poor neurological prognosis.

Giving full play to the carbon-neutral contribution of agricultural land is a crucial part of China's economic transformation and green development. It incorporates carbon and pollution emissions from agricultural land use into the unexpected outputs of the Green and Low-carbon Utilization Efficiency of Agricultural Land (GLUEAL) evaluation system.

Materials And Methods: This study analyzed patients who underwent prostate mpMRI and radical prostatectomy (RP) at the Affiliated Hospital of Jiaxing University between November 2017 and December 2022. The clinical data collected included age, serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA), and biopsy pathology.
Background: To explore the potential of histogram analysis (HA) of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) in the identification of extramural venous invasion (EMVI) in rectal cancer patients.
Methods: This retrospective study included preoperative images of 194 rectal cancer patients at our hospital between May 2019 and April 2022. The postoperative histopathological examination served as the reference standard.
Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) is a potentially serious adverse drug reaction. Due to the lack of definite etiology, specific clinical manifestations, and diagnostic methods, its prediction and diagnosis are challenging. Elderly individuals are deemed to be at high risk for DILI due to abnormal pharmacokinetics, aging tissue repair function, comorbidities, and taking multiple drugs.

System pharmacology is developed based on the cross-disciplines of directional pharmacology, system biology, and mathematics, has the characteristics of integrity and synergy in the treatment process of TCM. Therefore, it is suitable for analyzing the key ingredients and mechanisms of TCM in treating complex diseases.
