Purpose: Electrospinning technology was used to construct PCL composite nanofiber scaffold material of BMP-2 sustained-release nanospheres, and the effect of this nanospheres on proliferation and differentiation of MC3T3-E1 cells was evaluated.

Methods: Solvent removal method and electrostatic self-assembly technology were used to prepare BMP-2 loaded chitosan nanospheres, the morphology, particle size and composition, BMP-2 protein encapsulation efficiency, and in vitro sustained release were tested. Electrospinning technology was ued to prepare PCL composite scaffold material containing BMP-2 nanospheres, and its morphology, hydrophilicity, and sustained release of BMP-2 protein were examined.

Background: With the increase of hypertensive patients worldwide, the need for better antihypertensive drugs to achieve blood pressure standards and reduce complications is of great clinical significance. As an angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor, sacubitril/valsartan has been widely used in the treatment of heart failure, but its efficacy and safety in the treatment of middle-aged and elderly hypertensive patients are still controversial. Therefore, we performed a meta-analysis to compare the efficacy and safety of sacubitril/valsartan and other antihypertensive drugs in the treatment of middle-aged and elderly patients with hypertension.

Natural systems produce various γ-dicarbonyl-bearing compounds that can covalently modify lysine in protein targets the classic Paal-Knorr reaction. Among them is a unique class of lipid-derived electrophiles - isoketals that exhibit high chemical reactivity and critical biological functions. However, their target selectivity and profiles in complex proteomes remain unknown.

Background: Self-management of ambulatory cancer pain is full of challenges. Motivated by the need for better pain management, we developed a WeChat-supported platform, Medication Housekeeper (MediHK), to enhance communication, optimize outcomes, and promote self-management in the home setting.

Objective: We conducted a randomized controlled trial to assess whether the joint physician-pharmacist team through MediHK would provide better self-management of ambulatory patients with cancer pain.

Objective: Comparing the characteristics of end-of-dose failure patients and non-end-of-dose failure patients in the Chinese population and exploring the factors that may affect the occurrence of end-of-dose failure in cancer pain patients.

Methods: The outpatient with cancer pain from 2016 to 2019 were collected through hospital information system, and patients were included who met the following criteria: patients with the average numerical rating scale  ≥4 points within 3 days after taking the oxycodone sustained-release preparation, titrated to an effective therapeutic dose suitable for patients, had at least two clinical visits information of the patient with a minimum of ≥3 days between visits, the average numerical rating scale of the next visit after the treatment of occasional pain is ≥4, and were divided into end-of-dose failure group and non-end-of-dose failure group.

Results: Age (P < 0.

Article Synopsis
  • * The bZIP genes are classified into 10 groups based on their genetic relationships, revealing distinct intron/exon structures and conserved motifs among them.
  • * Expression analysis indicates that many bZIP genes are activated by abiotic stresses and phytohormones, with some enhancing salt tolerance in pepper plants, particularly when overexpressed.

Through the collection of atmospheric PM and PM samples in Hefei in 2018, combined with high-precision testing of elements in these samples, the elemental composition of PM and PM was studied during heavy pollution episodes and under non-pollution conditions. The main pollutant sources and causes of heavy pollution in Hefei are also discussed based on an analysis of the differences in the element composition of atmospheric particles. The results showed that, among the 16 elements detected, the mass concentrations of Si, Al, Mg, and Ca during heavy pollution episodes were lower than during non-polluted conditions.
