This study aimed to investigate the regeneration of epithelial cells in the long-term observation of ureter reconstruction by excising the demucosalized ileum. First, 8 Beagle dogs were anesthetized and the abdominal cavity was inspected for abnormalities via an abdominal incision. The right kidney and ureter were subsequently separated, and the ureter was severed from its connection to the renal pelvis and bladder and ligated distally.
