Background: Lack of adherence to prescribed medication is common among patients with depression in China, posing serious challenges to the health care system. Online health communities have been found to be effective in enhancing patient compliance. However, empirical evidence supporting this effect in the context of depression treatment is absent, and the influence of online health community content on patients' attitudes toward medication adherence is also underexplored.

It is the ultimate goal of this work to foster synergy between quantum chemistry and the flourishing field of quantum information theory. For this, we first translate quantum information concepts, such as entanglement and correlation, into the context of quantum chemical systems. In particular, we establish two conceptually distinct perspectives on 'electron correlation', leading to a notion of orbital and particle correlation.

Cleavage of carbon-carbon bonds remains a challenging task in organic synthesis. Traditional methods for splitting C=C bonds into two halves typically involve non-redox (metathesis) or oxidative (ozonolysis) mechanisms, limiting their synthetic potential. Disproportionative deconstruction of alkenes, which yields one reduced and one oxidized fragment, remains an unexplored area.

The simultaneous treatment of static and dynamic correlations in strongly correlated electron systems is a critical challenge. In particular, finding a universal scheme for identifying a single-particle orbital basis that minimizes the representational complexity of the many-body wave function is a formidable and longstanding problem. As a contribution toward its solution, we show that the total orbital correlation actually reveals and quantifies the intrinsic complexity of the wave function, once it is minimized via orbital rotations.

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) production is a key event in modulating plant responses to hypoxia and post-hypoxia reoxygenation. However, the molecular mechanism by which hypoxia-associated ROS homeostasis is controlled remains largely unknown. Here, we showed that the calcium-dependent protein kinase CPK16 regulates plant hypoxia tolerance by phosphorylating the plasma membrane-anchored NADPH oxidase respiratory burst oxidase homolog D (RBOHD) to regulate ROS production in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana).

Cellular immunotherapy is a crucial aspect of current tumor immunotherapy, though it presents several challenges such as immune cell dysfunction, limited recognition of neoantigens, and inadequate lymphocyte infiltration into the tumor microenvironment. This study proposes a novel approach utilizing a combination of dendritic cell (DC)-based cellular immunotherapy and a photothermal nanoadjuvant black phosphorus (BP) nanoparticles to overcome these challenges. A new platform called PLGA@BP-R848, which consists of modifying poly-(lactic--glycolic acid) (PLGA) onto BP nanosheets loading the immune adjuvant R848.

Calcium-dependent protein kinases (CDPKs/CPKs) are key regulators of plant stress signaling that translate calcium signals into cellular responses by phosphorylating diverse substrate proteins. However, the molecular mechanism by which plant cells relay calcium signals in response to hypoxia remains elusive. Here, we show that one member of the CDPK family in Arabidopsis thaliana, CPK12, is rapidly activated during hypoxia through calcium-dependent phosphorylation of its Ser-186 residue.
