Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a major complication of diabetes. Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is common in diabetes, and liver fibrosis is a prognostic risk factor for NAFLD. The interaction between DN and liver fibrosis in NAFLD remains unclear.
