Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to assess the effectiveness and safety of using two new drugs, abiraterone and enzalutamide, in sequence after patients received docetaxel therapy for castration-resistant prostate cancer.
  • Out of 21 patients, only 11% in the abiraterone group and 9% in the enzalutamide group showed a significant reduction in PSA levels, indicating low effectiveness of the sequential treatment.
  • The overall survival rates were similar for both drug groups, and some patients experienced adverse effects that necessitated a change in medication, but the study concluded that combining these therapies provided limited clinical benefits.
