People living with HIV are at three times greater risk for depressive symptoms. Inflammation is a notable predictor of depression, and people with HIV exhibit chronic inflammation despite antiretroviral therapy. Neuropsychological tests that detect such impairment can help clinicians formulate effective treatment plans.
