In this paper, we have uncovered a new reaction of -homopropargylic β-enaminones, -(4-phenyl-3-butynyl)-β-enaminones. When subjected to a reaction with excess molecular iodine or -iodosuccinimide in the presence of cesium carbonate, -homopropargylic β-enaminones afford 6,7-dihydrofuro[3,4-]pyridines in low to moderate yields. The generation of two new C/O-C bonds during the reaction leads to the construction of unknown heterobicyclic 5,6-fused ring systems.

This retrospective single center cohort study included 49 patients with acute PE and 33 patients with CTEPH who underwent CT pulmonary angiography on a dlDECT from 06/2016 to 06/2022. Conventional images), material specific images (virtual non-contrast [VNC], iodine density overlay [IDO], electron density [ED]), and virtual monoenergetic images (VMI) were analyzed.

Methods: In this diagnostic accuracy study, a set of 104 CTA scans of aSAH patients containing a total of 126 aneurysms were presented to three blinded neurosurgery residents (a first-year, third-year, and fifth-year resident), who individually assessed them for aneurysms. After the initial reading, the residents were given the predictions of a dedicated DLM previously established for automated detection and segmentation of intracranial aneurysms.

To investigate whether there was a difference in the nasal airway dimensions after dorsal preservation and classical structural rhinoplasty. The surgical approach to rhinoplasty has improved over many decades. The first was the classic structural rhinoplasty (CSR) developed by Joseph, where the excess tissues are removed from the dorsal hump.

Background: Lipid indices, particularly the triglyceride-glucose index (TyG index) and the triglyceride/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (TG/HDL-C) ratio, are simple, reliable, non-insulin-based surrogate markers of insulin resistance that have recently gained prominence. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of isotretinoin treatment on surrogate markers of insulin resistance, in particular the TyG index, in patients with acne vulgaris (AV).
Materials And Methods: This retrospective study reviewed the records of 200 patients who received isotretinoin treatment for acne vulgaris at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology between September 2023 and March 2024.
Objective: To evaluate the development of anti-drug antibodies (ADAb) against tumor necrosis factor inhibitors (TNFi) therapy during a 2-year period and search the factors linked to patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA).
Methods: Biologic-naive patients with axSpA were included in this observational study. Serum drug levels and ADAb were measured at weeks 12, 24, 52, and 104 of treatment by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
Background: The acquisition of contrast-enhanced T1 maps to calculate extracellular volume (ECV) requires contrast agent administration and is time consuming. This study investigates generative adversarial networks for contrast-free, virtual extracellular volume (vECV) by generating virtual contrast-enhanced T1 maps.
Methods And Results: This retrospective study includes 2518 registered native and contrast-enhanced T1 maps from 1000 patients who underwent cardiovascular magnetic resonance at 1.
Purpose: To evaluate a novel flow-independent sequence (Relaxation-Enhanced Angiography without Contrast and Triggering (REACT)) for imaging of the extracranial arteries in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) at 1.5 T.
Methods: This retrospective single-center study included 47 AIS patients who received REACT (scan time: 3:01 min) and contrast-enhanced MRA (CE-MRA) of the extracranial arteries at 1.
Purpose: To determine work-related musculoskeletal pain (MSP) among 105 operating room nurses (ORNs) and its effect on their routine work.
Design: Multicenter cross-sectional design.
Methods: This study was conducted with 105 nurses working in operating rooms of five different hospitals between December 15, 2021, and February 15, 2022.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate how systemic antimony treatment in cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) patients affects biochemical, hematological, and inflammatory parameters in child and adult patient groups.
Methods: A total of 50 patients (29 adults, 21 children) who received systemic meglumine antimonate (MA) treatment in the skin and venereal diseases clinic between September 2022 and January 2024 and were diagnosed with CL by microscopic examination were included in the study. The medical records of the patients were examined retrospectively.
In this study, a neural network was developed for the detection of acetone, ethanol, chloroform, and air pollutant NO gases using an Interdigitated Electrode (IDE) sensor-based e-nose system. A bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS)-based interface circuit was used to measure sensor responses in the e-nose system. The sensor was fed with a sinusoidal voltage at 10 MHz frequency and 0.

The striking association with MHC-I suggests involvement of T cells, whereas natural killer (NK) cell involvement remains largely unstudied. Here we show that HLA-A29-positive birdshot chorioretinopathy patients have a skewed NK cell pool containing expanded CD16 positive NK cells which produce more proinflammatory cytokines.

The correct interpretation and integration of CMR findings require radiological expertise and knowledge. We aimed to investigate the performance of Generative Pre-trained Transformer 4 (GPT-4), a large language model, for report-based medical decision-making in the context of cardiac MRI for suspected myocarditis.

This study aims to evaluate and compare the feasibility, safety, and efficacy of MSAs treated with either clipping or coiling after interdisciplinary case discussion at our center.
Materials And Methods: We retrospectively analyzed MSAs treated by microsurgical clipping, coiling, or stent-assisted coiling (SAC).
Background: Despite the significant roles it plays in the functions of the platysma and lower lip, the cervical branch of the facial nerve is often overlooked compared to other branches, but its consideration is critical for ensuring the safety of neck surgeries.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to clarify the anatomical discrepancies associated with the cervical branch of the facial nerve to enhance surgical safety.
Methods: The study utilized 20 fresh-frozen hemiheads.
Objective(s): Our aim is to investigate the effects of the submucoperichondrial application of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) on nasal mucosal healing after septoplasty surgery.
Method(s): This prospective randomized observational study was conducted between July 2019 and February 2021, with 40 patients aged 18-60 years who underwent closed the only septoplasty operation for similar septal deviations. Patient divided into two group; 21 patients were placed in PRP group to which PRP was applied on all mucosal surface and submucoperichondrial area of septum and 19 patients were placed in control group to which saline solution was applied on same regions.
Carotid endarterectomy (CEA) involves removal of plaque in the carotid artery to reduce the risk of stroke and improve cerebral perfusion. This study aimed to investigate the utility of assessing pulsatile blood volume and flow during CEA. Using a combined near-infrared spectroscopy/diffuse correlation spectroscopy instrument, pulsatile hemodynamics were assessed in 12 patients undergoing CEA.

The side effects of CP in many tissues and organs limit its usage. βg is a natural polysaccharide that is an effective free radical scavenger.
