Observation of spin correlation in tt¯ events from pp collisions at √s=7 TeV using the ATLAS detector.

A measurement of spin correlation in tt[over ¯] production is reported using data collected with the ATLAS detector at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.1 fb(-1). Candidate events are selected in the dilepton topology with large missing transverse energy and at least two jets.

Search for production of resonant states in the photon-jet mass distribution using pp collisions at √s=7 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector.

This Letter describes a model-independent search for the production of new resonant states in photon+jet events in 2.11 fb(-1) of proton-proton collisions at √s=7 TeV. We compare the photon+jet mass distribution to a background model derived from data and find consistency with the background-only hypothesis.

[Home hospice care for the urological cancer patients].

In order to clarify the clinical characteristics along with practical care of home hospice care for urological cancer patients, we analyzed 62 terminal ill urological cancer patients who died at home, and these patients were compared with 737 non-urological cancer patients in the period from July 2003 through June 2010. There was a tendency to have a longer homecare period for urological terminal cancer patients. However, no significant statistical differences in age, gender and a frequency of home death were observed among the urological and non-urological cancer patients.

[Home hospice care for the patients with gynecological malignancies].

In order to clarify the clinical characteristics along with the practical care of home hospice care for gynecological cancer patients, we analyzed 37 terminally-ill gynecological cancer patients who died at home from July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2010, and these patients were compared with 762 non-gynecology cancer patients. The range of patients' ages with gynecological malignancies was statistically younger(p<0. 05)than that of the control patients, whereas the duration of home care and home death ratio did not show significant differences.
