Aims: To determine the effectiveness of tranexamic acid (TXA) in reducing vaginal bleeding, extending pregnancy duration, and enhancing perinatal outcomes in pregnant women with placenta previa.
Methods: A multicenter, randomized, double-blind clinical trial was conducted at three maternity teaching hospitals in Iraq's Kurdistan region, Azadi Hospital in the north of Iraq, and Al-Azhar University Hospital in Egypt on 146 women with placenta previa. Participants were randomly assigned to two interventional groups in a 1:1 ratio to receive either TXA or Dextrose 5% water (D5W).
Introduction T2D is a chronic and progressive disorder characterized by persistent hyperglycemia resulting from inadequate insulin secretion or utilization. The global prevalence of T2D is increasing rapidly, posing a significant health burden in many regions. In the Kurdistan region of Iraq, T2D presents a significant health burden, exacerbated by socioeconomic changes, dietary shifts, and rising obesity rates.

This study aimed to investigate the possible use of Procyanidin extracted from Crataegus azarolus in the treatment of induced heart failure in rats. Thirty-six male rats were randomly assigned to three groups; the first two groups had six rats each, and the third group included four subgroups (each with six rats). The first group was regarded as the control group, while the second group (normal rats) received oral Procyanidin 30mg/kg/day for 14 days.

The purpose of this review was to compile the clinical evidences on the use of the pre-existing medications and potential therapeutic options for the management of COVID-19. We reviewed the literature to highlight the clinical studies on the use of these medications to be available as a scientific overview for further perspectives.

Objectives: This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of eplerenone on the RAAS and kidney function in rats with thyroid hormone disorders.
Methods: This study involved 30 male Wistar albino rats, divided into three groups. The first group (N = 6) served as a control.
Background And Objectives: Thyroid hormones have an important role in the growth and development of various tissues including the kidney, which is the major site of renin release and the consequent angiotensin and aldosterone formation. Therefore any derangement in thyroid function can result in abnormal functioning in the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system. The current study was undertaken to find the impact of using a direct renin inhibitor (Aliskiren) and an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (Fosinopril) on the components of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) in rats with thyroid dysfunctions.

Many medications, such as neprilysin and angiotensin inhibitors, have recently been introduced to remediate neurohumoral changes. This study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of the sacubitril-aliskiren combination versus the sacubitril-ramipril combination in the treatment of neurohumoral changes in rats with experimentally induced heart failure.
