A new polerovirus, named "arachis mottle-associated virus" (ArMoV), was identified by high-throughput sequencing in a Pinto peanut (Arachis pintoi) plant. The genome sequence was confirmed by Sanger sequencing and contains 5775 nucleotides and seven predicted open reading frames (ORFs), showing a typical polerovirus genome structure. All of the proteins encoded by ArMoV showed less than 90% amino acid sequence identity to those of other poleroviruses, the threshold to establish a new species in the genus.

However, difficulties in isolating and propagating the virus in host plants hindered the purified virus preparations.

Explaining the evolution of primate social organization has been fundamental to understand human sociality and social evolution more broadly. It has often been suggested that the ancestor of all primates was solitary and that other forms of social organization evolved later, with transitions being driven by various life history traits and ecological factors. However, recent research showed that many understudied primate species previously assumed to be solitary actually live in pairs, and intraspecific variation in social organization is common.

First report of Moroccan watermelon mosaic virus in pumpkin plants in Brazil.

Cucurbita moschata is widely cultivated in Brazil, and zucchini lethal chlorosis virus, squash mosaic virus, papaya ringspot virus, watermelon mosaic virus have been reported as viral pathogens in this crop in Brazil. The leaf samples of C. moschata showing mosaic, blistering, and yellowing symptoms were collected from a commercial field in Petrolina, Pernambuco state and a commercial field in Juazeiro, Bahia state, in February 2023.

Complete genome sequence of patchouli chlorosis-associated cytorhabdovirus, a new cytorhabdovirus infecting patchouli plants in Brazil.

A cytorhabdovirus, tentatively named "patchouli chlorosis-associated cytorhabdovirus" (PCaCV), was identified in a patchouli plant, using high-throughput sequencing, and its genome sequence was confirmed by Sanger sequencing. The PCaCV genome consists of 12,913 nucleotides and contains six open reading frames in the order 3'-N-P'-P-P3-M-(G)-L-5'. The glycoprotein gene was found to contain stop codons in the coding frame; hence, this gene is considered defective.

Detecting anisotropic segmental dynamics in disordered proteins by cross-correlated spin relaxation.

Among the numerous contributions of Geoffrey Bodenhausen to NMR spectroscopy, his developments in the field of spin-relaxation methodology and theory will definitely have a long lasting impact. Starting with his seminal contributions to the excitation of multiple-quantum coherences, he and his group thoroughly investigated the intricate relaxation properties of these "forbidden fruits" and developed experimental techniques to reveal the relevance of previously largely ignored cross-correlated relaxation (CCR) effects, as "the essential is invisible to the eyes". Here we consider CCR within the challenging context of intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) and emphasize its potential and relevance for the studies of structural dynamics of IDPs in the future years to come.

Crucial to the function of proteins is their existence as conformational ensembles sampling numerous and structurally diverse substates. Despite this widely accepted notion there is still a high demand for meaningful and reliable approaches to characterize protein ensembles in solution. As it is usually conducted in solution, NMR spectroscopy offers unique possibilities to address this challenge.

Intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) are challenging established structural biology perception and urge a reassessment of the conventional understanding of the subtle interplay between protein structure and dynamics. Due to their importance in eukaryotic life and central role in protein interaction networks, IDP research is a fascinating and highly relevant research area in which NMR spectroscopy is destined to be a key player. The flexible nature of IDPs, as a result of the sampling of a vast conformational space, however, poses a tremendous scientific challenge, both technically and theoretically.

Purpose: To investigate the feasibility of shear wave sonoelastography (SWS) for endoleak detection and thrombus characterization of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) after endovascular repair (EVAR).

Materials And Methods: Participants who underwent EVAR were prospectively recruited between November 2014 and March 2016 and followed until March 2019. Elasticity maps of AAA were computed using SWS and compared to computed tomography angiography (CTA) and color Doppler ultrasound (CDUS).

The essential oil (EO) composition of leaves of Campomanesia aurea was analyzed by GC-MS. The plant was collected in April (EOA) and October (EOO) in São Francisco de Assis/RS. The essential oils were obtained by hydrodistillation in a modified Clevenger apparatus.

Material And Methods: Eighty-three consecutive patients with AAA treated by EVAR who had at least 1 computed tomography (CT) scan before and 2 CT scans after EVAR with at least 5 months' interval were included. Introduction: Recent trials have emphasized the importance of a precise patient selection for cytoreductive nephrectomy (CN). In 2013, a nomogram was developed for pre- and postoperative prediction of the probability of death (PoD) after CN in patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma. To date, the single-institutional nomogram which included mostly patients from the cytokine era has not been externally validated.

Strepsirrhines, that is, lemurs, galagos, and lorises, are considered basal primates, making them important to understand the evolution of primate sociality. Apart from some lemurs, they are nocturnal and solitary living, though the view of their sociality nature has changed with field studies being completed. We conducted a review of the primary literature about the social organization (group composition) of strepsirrhines, with the aim to determine whether intra-specific variation in social organization (IVSO) occurs and to determine how many species are pair-living, group-living, or solitary living.
