Background: Thrombectomy is now the standard of care in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke caused by emergent large vessel occlusion. Therefore thrombectomy services have expanded from Comprehensive Stroke Centers to Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Centers. Stroke interventions at these sites are performed in both biplane and monoplane angiography suites.

We present a simultaneous bilateral thrombectomy method on a patient with acute bilateral middle cerebral artery occlusions. This technique resulted in successful vessel recanalisation within 35 min without haemorrhagic complications-deeming the method both safe and effective.
