Orbital Complications of Sino Nasal Tumors.

Orbital involvement in Sinonasal tumours most commonly present as proptosis, epiphora and/or visual symptoms. We aimed to enumerate the orbital manifestations of Sino nasal tumours, to describe strategies employed to manage orbit and vision, to evaluate outcomes, vision preservation and survival rates. This retrospective study spanning ten years identified 147 Sino nasal pathologies with clinic-radiological involvement of the orbit.

Impacted foreign bodies in the faciomaxillary region: a multidisciplinary approach.

A man in his 20s came for maxillofacial consultation with a pus discharge from the left preauricular region for the last 1 year. He had met with a road traffic accident 2 years earlier and had received surgical treatment for injuries associated with the same. Investigations revealed multiple impacted foreign bodies deep within his facial structures.

Role of Human Papilloma Virus in the Aetiology of Sinonasal Cancers.

Sino nasal carcinogenesis is attributed to numerous factors, namely tobacco, alcohol and snuff as the most common. Human Papilloma virus (HPV) has been associated with aetiopathogenesis of malignancies in the upper aerodigestive tract (UADT). The prevalence of HPV in Sino-nasal malignancy (SNM) which is closely related to UADT in location is not known.

Changes in olfaction & quality of life following standard medical therapy in patients with intermittent & persistent allergic rhinitis.

Background & Objectives: Allergic rhinitis (AR) is an inflammatory disease prevalent worldwide which can affect both olfaction and quality of life (QoL). The objective of the present study was to assess olfaction and QoL changes in patients with AR before and after medical therapy.

Methods: Adult participants (>18 yr) with AR were recruited for this study.
