Recently it has been proposed that the long-range electronic order formed by trimerons in magnetite should be frustrated due to the great degeneracy of arrangements linking trimerons. This result has important consequences as charge ordering from the condensed minority band electrons leads to a complex 3D antiferro orbital order pattern. Further more, the corner sharing tetrahedra structure of spinel B-sites supports frustration for antiferromagnetic alignments.

Basing on the experience of conducting 795 bronchofibroscopies under conditions of polyclinic authors discuss organized and methodological aspects ensuring maximal study safety permitting to avoid serious, danger for life complications. Pathologic changes of tracheobronchial tree were exposed in 64.6% cases, 46.

The influence of modulated UHF-electromagnetic fields (low intensity) on calmodulin levels in several brain structures was studied. It was shown that UHF-electromagnetic fields influence calmodulin levels in the hypothalamus and sensorimotor cortex. Its effect depends on modulation regimes.

The findings at examination of 42 patients with gastric ulcer exhibiting frequent relapses were comparatively assessed in relation to humoral and cellular immunity, presence of mucous microflora and Campylobacter pyloridis at the ulcer site. It is shown that in the presence of Campylobacter pyloridis specific differences in the immune response were not recorded. The same results were true for mucous microflora.

Data are reported of the efficacy of different drugs in the treatment 66 patients with prolonged nonhealing duodenal ulcers in association with chronic erosions in the presence of Helicobacter pylori. It was found that a concentrate of granulocytes and de-nol proved most efficient while trichopol and furazolidone were of minor efficacy.

Altogether 89 patients with long non-healing gastric ulcers were examined for Campylobacter pylori (CP) and mucous microflora. It is shown that in patients with long non-healing gastric ulcers, CP was only demonstrable in 19.8% of cases whereas pathological microflora (Candida and microbial associations) in 72.

Several N6-adenosine analogs were synthesized and their A1-purine receptor binding affinities were determined. Our results demonstrate that N6-allyl- and N6-aminopropanol-adenosine increase affinities to A1-purine receptor in guinea pig ileum.

The authors provide data on the follow-up and treatment of 76 patients with slow in healing ulcers and chronic erosions. In patients with associated pathology, the clinical course of the disease is marked by a steady painful syndrome that occurs 1 to 1.5 h after meal.

The state of systemic microcirculation according to data of biomicroscopy of the bulbar conjunctiva blood vessels was evaluated in 124 patients with prolonged nonhealing gastric ulcer and in 49 them microcirculation in the ulcer zone was assessed. It was shown that both the general and the local microcirculation showed essential disorders in this category of patients. This favoured a torpid course of the disease and requires to be considered in the treatment strategy.

The authors investigated the mechanism of recurrent course of chronic gastric erosions. It was established that of essential importance in the recurring course of the disease is the pathological microflora, disorders of humoral immunity and local microcirculation leading to prolonged existence of a fibrinoid necrosis zone.

A study was made of the disease pathogenesis in 58 patients with recurrent chronic erosions of the gastric mucosa. It has been established that an important role in the relapses of the pathological process is played by pathological microflora, disturbances in humoral immunity and local microcirculation, and long existence of the zone of fibrinoid necrosis.

The functional and morphological manifestations of the protective effect of piracetam were studied on the model of two-day stress. Piracetam was shown to preserve the central nervous system functional activity, to decrease the pathophysiological and morphological manifestations of the stress syndrome.

The effects of the tilt test (at 60-70 degrees for 20 min) and LBNP test (at -30 and -60 mm Hg for 20 min each) on the basic parameters of central circulation (15 test subjects) and coronary circulation (11 test subjects) were investigated. The study was performed using thermistor-equipped catheters implanted into the pulmonary artery and coronary sinus and Teflon catheters implanted into the brachial artery. In the study, the basic parameters of central circulation (pressure in the right atrium and pulmonary artery, transmural pressure in these compartments, cardiac index, stroke index, etc.
