Graphene-Based Metasurface Refractive Index Biosensor for Hemoglobin Detection: Machine Learning Assisted Optimization.

Machine learning is the latest approach to optimize the performance of absorbers, sensors, etc. A sensor with behavior prediction using polynomial regression is presented. Three different variations of metasurfaces namely double split-ring resonator, single split ring resonator, split ring resonator with thin wire are analyzed.

Machine learning assisted metamaterial-based reconfigurable antenna for low-cost portable electronic devices.

Antenna design has evolved from bulkier to small portable designs but there is a need for smarter antenna design using machine learning algorithms that can meet today's high growing demand for smart and fast devices. Here in this research, main focus is on developing smart antenna design using machine learning applicable in 5G mobile applications and portable Wi-Fi, Wi-MAX, and WLAN applications. Our design is based on the metamaterial concept where the patch is truncated and etched with a split ring resonator (SRR).

Energy utilization is increasing day by day and there is a need for highly efficient renewable energy sources. Solar absorbers with high efficiency can be used to meet these growing energy demands by transforming solar energy into thermal energy. Solar absorber design with highly efficient and Ultra-broadband response covering visible, ultraviolet, and near-infrared spectrum is proposed in this paper.

Graphene-Based Refractive Index Sensor Using Machine Learning for Detection of Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Bacteria.

Rapid detection of mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria is very important in reducing tuberculosis disease. We propose a label-free graphene-based refractive index sensor using a machine learning approach that detects mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria. The biosensor is designed for higher sensitivity by analyzing different parameters like substrate thickness, resonator thickness, and angle of incidence.

Graphene-based metasurface solar absorber design with absorption prediction using machine learning.

Solar absorber is required to absorb most of the energy of the solar spectral irradiance. We propose a graphene-based solar absorber design with two different metasurfaces to improve this absorption and increase the efficiency of the solar absorber. The metasurfaces are selected based on their symmetrical/asymmetrical nature (O-shape and L-shape).

Urinary tract infection due to in an immunocompetent patient with chronic kidney disease.

Infections due to species are collectively referred to as fusariosis. has been reported to cause keratitis, onychomycosis, skin infections, catheter associated fungemia and has not been described as a cause of urinary tract infection. Here, we present the first case of fusariosis with urinary tract involvement in a 67 year old male, with chronic kidney disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Subdural empyma due to Mycobacterium fortuitum in a non-HIV patient.

A 14-year-old male child presented with high grade intermittent fever with altered sensorium since 5-6 days and generalised seizures. On examination neck stiffness noticed with normal haemogram and chest X-ray. CSF microscopy was normal and no growth seen in aerobic culture.

Fusarium soloni mycetoma.

A young apparently healthy, non-diabetic, HIV non-reactive woman presented with a mycetoma-like lesion on right buttock. Discharge was scanty, and mycotic grains were not seen. Biopsy of sinus track was obtained for microscopy and culture.

Red grain botryomycosis due to Staphylococcus aureus--a novel case report.

Staphylococcus aureus and some other bacteria are known to cause botryomycosis. These bacteria are known to produce yellowish-white soft grains. Only Actinomadura pelletieri is known to produce red grains.

Respiratory tract infection due to Arcanobacterium haemolyticum--a case report.

A case of respiratory tract infection due to Arcanobacterium haemolyticum is reported. A female of 26 years presented with cough with expectoration and fever off and on for a duration of six weeks. Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Arcanobacterium haemolyticum were isolated.

Re-emergence of El Tor vibrio in outbreak of cholera in & around Nagpur.

Contrary to earlier outbreaks of cholera due to Vibrio cholerae O139 during 1993 and its reemergence in 1998 in and around Nagpur and only sporadic episodes thereafter for next couple of years, a large outbreak was encountered between June and October 2003. V. cholerae 01 El Tor were isolated in 198 cases, of which 152 were Ogawa, 3 Inaba, 4 Hikojima and 39 were non agglutinating (NAG) vibrios.

Serotyping of pulmonary isolates of Candida albicans. A preliminary study.

A total of twenty strains of Candida albicans isolated from chronic pulmonary lesions were subjected to serotyping procedure adopting the conventional agglutination reactions. Prior to serotyping all the twenty strains were isolated on at least three different occasions and were identified by the standard accepted criteria (germ tube production, colony morphology on cornmeal Tween 80 agar and sugar fermentation reactions). Of the twenty strains, four strains belonged to serotype B and the remaining sixteen had the agglutination profile consistent with serotype A.

Oral histoplasmosis in India: a case report and an overview of cases reported during 1968-92.

Oral histoplasmosis in a 30-year-old male with no history of travel outside India is described. An ulcerating lesion was located on the hard palate. A chest X-ray was normal.
