Visuospatial neglect is a disorder that can often result from stroke and is characterized by an inability to attend to contralesional stimuli. Two common subtypes include allocentric (object-centered) neglect and egocentric (viewer-centered) neglect. In allocentric neglect, spatial inattention is localized to the contralesional side of an object regardless of its relative position to the observer.
