Validation of a Guideline for Nurses Taking Care of Patients With Liver Cirrhosis in the Context of COVID-19 in the Emergency Department.

The objective of this study was to prepare and validate the content of a guideline for nursing care of adult patients with liver cirrhosis and COVID-19 treated in the emergency department. The study was conducted in two stages: first, the guideline was developed based on an integrative literature review and existing guidelines on the topic. The guideline was prepared with six domains and 64 care items.

Perceptions of nurses about the implementation of the nursing process in an intensive unit.

Objective: To understand the nurses' perception about the implementation of the nursing process in an Intensive Care Unit.

Method: Qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive study. Data collection took place from February to March/2018, in an Intensive Care Unit of a public hospital in western Santa Catarina, through semi-structured interviews with nine nurses.

Validation of an instrument regarding nursing intervention in patients in vasoactive therapy.

Objective: to validate the content of a Standard Operational Procedure, regarding nursing interventions in emergency patients treated with vasoactive drugs.

Method: methodological study, carried out from December 2015 to January 2016. Content validity was determined by 16 experts (13 nurses, 2 pharmacists and one biomedical scientist), who judged it through a four-point Likert scale.

[Protocol of nursing care to traumatized patients in the aerospace environment: care before flight].

The study aimed to present a protocol for nursing care in pre aerospace removing of adult victims of trauma. A qualitative convergent care research was performed at the Division of Air Operations in the municipality of San Jose-SC, Brazil, from April to June 2010. The study was based on the principles of the Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support.

[Evaluation of the welcoming strategies in the Intensive Care Unit].

This qualitative study was performed at the adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a public hospital in Southern Brazil with the objective to evaluate the implemented welcoming strategies. Participants included 13 patients and 23 relatives. Data collection was performed from July to October 2008, utilizing semi-structured interviews.

[Family in the waiting room of an intensive care unit revealed feelings].

This is a qualitative study that aims to understand the feelings of relatives of patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The study was conducted in the ICU of a large general hospital in the western region of Santa Catarina. The data collection occurred in 2009 with a semi structured interview to eighteen families.
