Skin Cancer Awareness and Knowledge About Sun Protection Practices in Solid Organ Transplant Recipients: Patient Survey Study.

Background: Adequate sun protection practices in chronically immunosuppressed patients can minimize the burden of the most common type of skin cancer in this population. In addition, early recognition of skin cancer by patients can lead to decreased morbidity, and possibly mortality from the disease. Nevertheless, there are significant gaps in the knowledge of sun protection measures and early recognition of skin cancer.

A case of squamous cell carcinoma arising in a giant porokeratosis previously diagnosed as psoriasis.

Porokeratosis (PK) is a disorder of keratinization with a clinical presentation of an atrophic center surrounded by a hyperkeratotic border. Lesions of porokeratosis carry a risk of malignant transformation with giant porokeratosis (GPK) being a high-risk variant. We report a case in which a single, large, erythematous, scaly plaque in an immunocompromised patient showed initial histopathological features consistent with psoriasis and subsequent histological features consistent with GPK.

A Case of Leukocytoclastic Vasculitis and Associated Conjunctivitis Following MMR Vaccine Administration.

Introduction: Leukocytoclastic vasculitis (LCV) is a small-vessel vasculitis characterized by immune complex deposition in the walls of dermal capillaries and venules. With the COVID-19 pandemic, more adults are receiving the MMR vaccine, as it may enhance innate immune responses against COVID-19 infection. Here, we report a case of LCV and associated conjunctivitis arising in a patient secondary to immunization with the MMR vaccine.
