Objectives: The study aimed to document the incidence of erythrocyte microcytosis in a population of hyperthyroid cats referred for radioiodine (RAI) treatment. Microcytosis has been observed but not described in feline hyperthyroid patients and is associated with hyperthyroidism in humans.

Methods: Retrospective clinicopathological data were collected for cats undergoing RAI between January and December 2017.

Background And Aims: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of symptomatic fatigue and its relation to physical function and self-perceived health in a sample of older, rural community-dwelling adults with commonly-used clinical fatigue scales.

Methods: This is an exploratory, descriptive study of 30 subjects from 4 rural counties. All subjects were 70+ years of age and had no recent history of hospitalization.

A 5-year-old, intact male Italian Spinone dog was presented for progressive, severe dyspnea and coughing. Thoracic radiographs revealed a large mass in the right cranial thorax. Fine needle aspiration of the mass yielded a highly cellular sample containing dense clumps of oval to spindle-shaped mesenchymal cells with distinct intracytoplasmic vacuolation, consistent with lipoblasts and lipocytes.
