Implementation of the national antimicrobial stewardship competencies for UK undergraduate healthcare professional education within undergraduate pharmacy programmes: a survey of UK schools of pharmacy.

Background: Pharmacists play a key role in antimicrobial stewardship (AMS). Consensus-based national AMS competencies for undergraduate healthcare professionals in the UK reflect the increasing emphasis on competency-based healthcare professional education. However, the extent to which these are included within undergraduate pharmacy education programmes in the UK is unknown.

Lonsurf (trifluridine/tipiracil): Assessing the impact of dose related toxicities and progression free survival in (refractory) metastatic colorectal cancer.

In the RECOURSE trial which lead to its accreditation, Lonsurf (trifluridine/tipiracil) was shown to extend progression free survival (PFS) by 1.8 months in metastatic colorectal cancer. This Trust audit aims to assess the average quantity of cycles of Lonsurf received by participants and the length of time it extends PFS.

Inpatient prescribing systems used in NHS Acute Trusts across England: a managerial perspective.

Objective: The individualised patient prescription chart, either paper or electronic, is an integral part of communication between healthcare professionals. The aim of this study is to ascertain the extent to which different prescribing systems are used for inpatient care in acute hospitals in England and explore chief pharmacists' opinions and experiences with respect to electronic prescribing and medicines administration (EPMA) systems.

Method: Audio-recorded, semistructured telephone interviews with chief pharmacists or their nominated representatives of general acute hospital trusts across England.
