Odontogenic lesions are well described in domestic cats, but published literature describing these lesions in nondomestic felids is limited. This study reports oral lesions in 109 captive, non-domestic felids. Ten cases of odontogenic lesions were diagnosed, including 9 with fibromatous epulis of periodontal ligament origin (FEPLO) and one odontogenic cyst in a cougar.

Study Design: This retrospective cohort study, conducted in an academic setting, included 529 cycles in which comprehensive chromosome screening was performed as part of routine infertility care with an autologous transfer of 1 or 2 euploid blastocysts. After excluding repeat cycles there were 517 unique cycles representing 517 women for evaluation.
A consistent requirement for all preimplantation genetic testing is the need to obtain DNA from the oocyte or embryo. Currently this sample is attained through biopsy of one or both polar bodies, blastomere biopsy at the cleavage stage, or trophectoderm biopsy after blastulation. Selecting the optimal time for biopsy requires careful consideration.

Design: Randomized controlled trial.
Setting: Academic reproductive medicine center.
