The combined effects of fossil fuel combustion, mass agricultural production and deforestation, industrialisation and the evolution of modern transport systems have resulted in high levels of carbon emissions and accumulation of greenhouse gases, causing profound climate change and ozone layer depletion. The consequential depletion of Earth's natural ecosystems and biodiversity is not only a devastating loss but a threat to human health. Sustainability-the ability to continue activities indefinitely-underpins the principal solutions to these problems.

A recent study showed that the accumulation of strains expressing Nef135F, which were selected by HLA-A*24:02-restricted T cells, was associated with poor outcomes in individuals with the detrimental HLA-B*35:01 allele and that HLA-B*35:01-restricted NefYF9 (Nef135-143)-specific T cells failed to recognize target cells infected with Nef135F mutant viruses. Here, we investigated HLA-B*35:01-restricted T cells specific for the NefFF9 epitope incorporating the Nef135F mutation.

Faith, Activity, and Nutrition (FAN) is an evidence-based program that increased physical activity and fruit and vegetable intake in faith-based settings. The aims of this adoption study were to quantify state-wide church level adoption rates and congregant reach of FAN in accordance with RE-AIM guidelines, and to explore the association of CFIR-derived constructs of the church inner setting and pastor characteristics with FAN adoption.

Faith-based organizations, with broad reach and trust, are well-positioned to promote health. The purpose of the study was to examine 12-month implementation and its predictors in the statewide Faith, Activity, and Nutrition (FAN) dissemination and implementation (D&I) study. Churches (n = 93; 42% predominantly African American) in the [South Carolina] Conference of the United Methodist Church trained by Community Health Advisors participated in the study.

In a dissemination and implementation study, 19 CHAs were trained to provide healthy eating (HE) and physical activity (PA) program training to church committees. Of these, 17 CHAs trained 347 attendees from 115 churches.

A better understanding of HIV-2 biology is relevant to the HIV vaccine field because a substantial proportion of infected people experience long-term viral control, and prior HIV-2 infection has been associated with slower HIV-1 disease progression in coinfected subjects. The majority of traditional and next-generation sequencing methods have relied on target amplification prior to sequencing, introducing biases that may obscure the true signals of diversity in the viral population.

The aim of this study was to investigate three issues key to the successful field implementation of a control strategy that uses red clover as an alternative food source to reduce the amount of damage caused to winter wheat by the field slug, Deroceras reticulatum (Müller). A series of three experiments was designed to assess this aim.
