Article Synopsis
  • The text discusses the growing interest in zinc-ion battery (ZIB) technology and the need to study various zinc electrolytes, focusing on their chemical properties and how these properties change under different electrical potentials.
  • It compares the performance of three electrolytes: ZnSO, ZnOTF, and a zinc/Li hybrid electrolyte, while also examining the effects of adding acetonitrile to these systems.
  • Advanced techniques like ATR-SEIRAS and EQCM-D were used to monitor changes at the electrolyte/electrode interface, revealing insights into the formation of solid electrolyte interphases and the implications for the batteries' stability and performance.

Dopamine acts through two classes of G protein-coupled receptor (D1-like and D2-like) to modulate neuron activity in the brain. While subtypes of D1- and D2-like receptors are coexpressed in many neurons of the mammalian brain, it is unclear how signaling by these coexpressed receptors interacts to modulate the activity of the neuron in which they are expressed. D1- and D2-like dopamine receptors are also coexpressed in the cholinergic ventral-cord motor neurons of Caenorhabditis elegans.
